They can make it PS4/5 exclusive also - remember Last of us. But PS4 has huge library and it will not be abandoned so fast. And also if PS5 has B/C, theres no need to push it to PS5 so hard. If whole PS4 library can be played on PS5 (at least Sony is doing some research about B/C, so I hope, PS5 will be B/C), it will be smooth transition without that cutting edge which splits PS4 and PS5 exclusives (for PS5 owners not for PS4 owners of course).
It can be similar to Nvidia shield TV. If they can support similar streaming model with connection to steam and uplay, on top of that can stream all content from ea access or some Google pass and also if they can play Android games + maybe support for ms xcloud....it can be great device. Maybe too similar to Nvidia shield but still I think there is a place on market with more aggressive marketing model and more subscription streaming services integrated into one device.

They have to dement it whether it is or not true. Maybe they had some meetings. Maybe because of ms recent acquisitions Sony tries to strengthen their first party studios machinery. If thats true, its only MSs decision. But I dont think its right decision. This gen, Sony proved VR is not some gimmick like 3D, its something more. But it still isnt replacement for ordinary play (social aspect (isolation), cumbersomenes of installation, nausea after certain type of movement,...). What he was talking about was difference between ancient tv consoles and nowadays 4k hdr machines. Ps4 is 4k hdr, ps5 will be 4k hdr. There will be more details, more compute power, but differences will be every generation lower and lower.

Nothing interesting in the article. Both Ms and Sony are well prepared for next gen. It will be great gen with true 4K consoles (neither pro or X are capable 4K60 in majority of games) , next gen vr, lot of streaming, game passes, backwards compatibility, etc.... It will be great for everyone! What about Nintendo???
If you dont have big and really good 4K HDR TV it is not so much beneficiary for that 100 USD. You will get "only" supersampling here and fps there.
I personally compare it to Uncharted because they are all action adventures Indiana Jones like. Tomb raider is more open world. Uncharted is more story driven. What is main reason to go to LG C9 from Sony ZD9? Dont you want to wait for microLED tech? Or OLED is better for your needs? And what about Sony or Panasonic OLEDs? New Panasonic 2000 TV looks wonderful!
From my point of view, OLEDs are great, but for gaming you risk image retention. I know it isnt too bad, but its present - especially in gaming with lot of time in menus / with hud active.

Both Sony and MS have some kind of partnership with AMD. It's known that AMD has some exclusive chip for Sony. I'm not surprised, that it also have some exclusivity to MS. Ps3 has exclusive whole CELL where xbox360 had only main CELL core tripled. Both from IBM.

It's a pitty ms dropped Kinect. It would have been unique these days. Xbox is better place for my kids. But PS4 is better place for me as a gamer.
Great job polyphony! It seems polyphony finally nailed modelling pipeline. And if it's still true, that models are 8K proofed, than this tempo is ok. They can continue with 8 cars per month or two through this and next gen. That was smart move! Maybe they needed to shorten developing cycle for next GT.
Im curious, if there will be mid-gen refresh in terms of "One Super Hardcore" console. On the other hand, Hardcore variant should be future-proofed, so If you need to make shift mid-gen, you can by Hardcore Slim version.
What? Will it be compatible with something? I assume, there will be Project Cars starting title. Anything else? One way it can make some sales is if it costs 300 USD, have stellar performance in PC2 (3 in future) and can be bought as a bundle with wheel and pedals. Then other possible games can be as a bonus, but primarily it can serve as ultimate car sim console. If it may "fight" against MS and Sony, it has no chance.
