@JackBNimble But don't forget MS's BC wasnt even a project. It was experiment of few people which succeeded and only then it became big thing. So it wasn't done by ms intentionally.
Exactly! With a wast library of games on PS4 + psvr , only BC will make me to buy ps5 early.
I don't plan to invest on ps5+psvr2 at launch. That's too much money.
They can of course make compatible at least psvr part. I'm also curious if psvr games are future proofed for better psvr2 resolution. I'm really curious how will Sony handle this. That will really show if it is "for the players" (of course it's always "for the money" for ever...
Rdr 1 on Xbox one X in 4k was gorgeous! Now playing rdr 2 on ps pro. Both great games and thanks to BC on Xbox I was able to play first part.
Thats great! When Sony mailed me my game statistics before year or so, I wanted to be able to trigger this feature by my own. And thats it! Thank you Sony!
It seems it's only limited to change country inside EU region due to EU laws. So it's not like changing region to JP or US. That's a pitty.
I totally agree. I own both platforms, but I am long time PS owner. I must admit, that Xbox has some advantages. Also game pass and EA Access are great and maybe all that you need for your kids and for some people too. Its great idea! Also search in store is more refined than on PS.
Than the other functions - apps and good control over hdmi cec communication. That makes Xbox better multimedia machine.
But on the other hand, there is no exclusive game like Horizon Z...

Wow, I thought it will be definitely RDR2. But its great satisfaction for SSM and GOW, because GOW is really gorgeous! What evidence you want than GOW is only game my girlfriend plays. Not Witcher, not RDR, not Zelda or other (from my point of view) masterpieces. Only GOW. So theres maybe even more than I can appreciate in the game.

Its not over. Microsoft is doing well. But still, Sony outsells Microsoft worldwide(!). It didnt changed after xbox x. Its great, that MS changed their stance from arogant to gamer friendly and this can be very good for xbox future. Sony is still little arogant in their opinions. We will see, what it brings to Sony in the future.
Hopefully PS5 will support 2160p@60fps constant framerate. For VR it should be ok, if it supports 1440p@120fps. Its +/- on par .

If I compare ps Vs Xbox , one very good thing about ms store is ability to filter local coop games. You can't do that in ps store. And about game pass...I think it's really good service. It really makes sense. Also EA access is great if you usually buy their franchises every year. I think I could do only with them :-).
I recently bought Xbox One X with FM7 and FH4 in decent bundle pack with great price. These games are great, so I started to look after other great games, that I can play on XOX and that are not on PS4 Pro. Soooo, in the end I downloaded Red Dead Redemption 1, Gears of War 1-4, Halo Master Chief Collection :-) (so mainly x360 games). Theres also lot of other good games. But in terms of "epic" games theres really not so much to crave about. But for new xbox brand owner these old xbox...
Xbox one x Is so strong it doesn't need to be replaced in next few years. Except if ms is going full into vr. Even if ms will launch some sort of a beast, it doesn't make sense if it is different gen then X. It makes sense if ms ditches one and one s.X should be supported through next gen.

Just bought XOX in black friday sale with both lastest forzas alongside my Pro (because all forzas are insanely unstable on pc). Just looked inside store and I didnt find any other interesting exclusives. Its not hate, Im xbox owner now like others. Maybe Gears of war? There are some good independent games and theres also some interesting ones in bc mode from x360. But in the end, there isnt any big blockbuster hit in store in the future. I dont agree. In case of Sony, theres plenty of what to do in VR. Also 60fps in qhd (with upscale to 4k or downsample to fhd) would be nice. But on the other hand I admit, that games like Uncharted 4 or God of war look absolutely fantastic even comparing to top PC games.
It is not nonsense. There are 80 million people with PS4 now. Also developers will no simply switch development to ps5. They can't ignore huge PS4 base when ps5 is here. Lot of people buy console after 3-4 years on the market. And if ps5 will be BC (it makes sense not only for huge PS4 library but also for continuity of psvr), PS4 can still be sold many years as cheap alternative.
