Paid to rent? No... renting means I have a deadline and/or can only have one game at a time.

Digital downloads... they have to have a TB hard drive because those two games will take up 10% or more of the TB.
Glad I sold my X1. Got tired of the download times and the digital space that got filled in 6 months.
Besides, I don't see why people don't want physical copies. I buy a game for $60 bucks... if it's physical, in 2 months I can trade it in for $30 and buy another game. I've now only paid $90 to complete two games.

I understand what you're saying... but the delay for Driveclub didn't do much upon release, regardless of what the dev said.
TLOU released with a delay and won multiple GOTY's and the devs said that time helped greatly.
Sure I can't "prove" that the delay did anything but I have no reason to doubt Naughty Dog that it didn't help and have I have no reason to believe the delay to Driveclub did help.

Delay TLOU? Greatness was made, the devs state the extra month or two on TLOU made the game what it is.

PS4 will total around 80-100 mil. I don't see a reason for more consoles to be sold this gen than last gen.
Other than the Wii/Wii U, the current gen is basically the last gen on steroids. Blu Ray isn't new anymore, HD isn't new... these things are just much improved and/or faster and able to pull off higher graphics more easily.
