PS4 and Wii U run better than the X1. Until Dawn and Bloodborne were great exclusives this year. GOTY contenders.
Mario Maker! Smash 4, Mario Kart 8, Wooly World, Treasure Tracker, wind waker HD, Mario world 3d, Super Luigi U was a really neat platformer.
I always will say, Rayman legends was MADE for the Wii U and was some of the most fun I had in 2014 gaming.
Just snagged this for $32... liking it a lot. I'm going for the plat before Halloween :)
343 on 2nd Halo game: "Hey let's do what Bungie did with their 2nd game, but let's not let it take people by surprise let's just tell them"
Halo game looks like Halo game. I'll pass.
Ah the echo-chamber that is game sites. You realize that COD "declining" means it sells 5-10 mil instead of 10-15 or that it's only the best selling game for a few months instead of 6 months.
COD AW is still in top 10 games sold each month.
Majority of people who want to own the consoles everyone loves really love COD and like it, why is that bad? People do want COD's every year because those people pour 1000's of hours into them befor...
Fix UI please. Download faster and let me play the game offline while downloading.
Not sure what "games" people seem to think X1 pushes. Without naming them the simple fact that JRPG's and Japan-based studious make their games exclusively (almost) for PS4 means PS4 will always have more games available.
Fall 2014: Forza H2, Halo MCC, and Sunset
Fall 2015: Forza 6, Halo 5, and Tomb Raider
2 FPS, 2 racing, one pseudo-exc...
Xbox couldn't give me a game to keep me from selling the X1 I had. There's nothing to bring me back.
Fix multiple hour long downloads that if I don't download prevent me from playing the game (MCC). Make the UI simple to use with a controller. Not sure, there's nothing on X1 that I can't have and have more of on the PS4.
Halo... that literally is the only franchise Xbox has that people will flock to like an event. And they should it...
Hope this game has a long tail. There weren't too many red-flags before MCC released and that was broken to all hell for a year (maybe still is, sold it a long time ago)
Just hope they actually deliver for Halo fans.
I have the Simpsons, and it's a lot of fun. Adds a new hub-ish world. Not sure how much "content" this is.
It's a fun Lego game, much easier than prior ones. I enjoy playing w/ kids and letting them build/manage the platform and use the 2nd controller with me while I actually perform the "tasks".
However, by yourself, it may feel like it's not fun or too easy. The story is funny but I think older Lego games have a better hu...
This is a societal problem. I remember being in my teens and answering the home phone when it was a sales rep or someone calling about my family home... They'd ask to speak to my dad and if I said: "he's not here, my mom is though" I would ALWAYS get this response:
"'No, that's fine, we will try later"
Well my dad and mom wouldn't do business with those people and it's for the same reason Jessica feels the need to q...
Free DLC post launch and a map creator that seems to be very deep? I don't see what needs defending.
I won't be playing Halo 5 but I can't see why 343i even needs to address this. I'm glad a major dev is doing this because the bigger dev that gives free content and free access to creation might encourage other devs (3rd and 1st party) to do the same.
I'd love it if UC4 had free content too. Or COD, or any AAA game.
StarFox Zero was a title I wanted and am now probably going to ignore. I'm very let down by what I've seen so far.
Project Black Water I wasn't aware of but seems really fun. The way the gameplay is described seems really unique.
Zelda and Xeno look amazing.
I play about 45 min a day on it and I keep it in my car for a couple weeks at a time. Not sure if I have a certain mode on but it lasts way longer than my 3DS does.
ARGH Sony should have never elaborated on not making another hand-held.
I know the Vita isn't the best selling thing ever but I really love my Vita. I take it while traveling, at work, etc. It's (to me) much more travel friendly than the 3DS. The battery will last for a couple weeks and it has tons of games.
Cross-play is so amazing. I loved beating Grim Fandango and Shovel Knight via cross-save. I'd play late at night, shoot it to the cloud,...
Um... not sure how it would boost sales. I would assume most people who want VR already have their PS4/rig for PSVR or Oculus.
I can't imagine someone thinking... yeah I want to drop $600-700 on a system + PSVR. Find it much more likely someone owning a PS4 for 2 years spends the $200-300 on just the VR set.
I tell you what though... I think the killer app is going to be No Man's Sky. I really, really believe that game is going to be PS4 and PSVR e...
Eh... I see most people discuss X1 in Japan from the wrong perspective. Culture is different there and you can tell when you visit (if you're ever lucky enough to, it's heaven for gamers).
I feel, and I don't mean to speak for Japan natives, that their culture is very... "Japan dedicated" as in they will always be drawn to Sony/Nintendo due to them being located in Japan.
I think having "games geared toward Japan gamers" is ...
Eh... I'll take D-Dog any day.
"Come here buddy... go mark every bad guy, prisoner, plant, resource, vehicle, and weapon within 100 meters"
...
"Good, Good dog"
"Good, Goooood"
Gameplay is fantastic. It really is a fun sandbox.
-Early on I was trying to creep and stun people using R2 to save suppressor.
-Eventually I would acquire a silenced ZZZ sniper to pick off key targets from afar (the ones I wanted at Mother Base)
-Then I got creative and would place 8-12 C4 around the base to blow up satellites, anti-radar, etc. I would wait until it was all in place, then blow it up at once, watch everyone scramble and e...
I agree with you about Splatoon, I have never been interested. But I am really glad that Nintendo actually created a new, popular IP. Seems like the first time since Pikmin a new IP came out and became one of the best selling titles at the time.
Please don't say that about Zelda! I am trying to tell myself not to think that LOL. I am hoping, at worst, we have a Twilight Princess situation where it comes to 2 platforms.
IMO I think this new Zelda (open...
IMO I always took Shovel Knights success as an "indie" on Nintendo systems because it really feels like an NES/SNES game.
Personally, I have some older NES games on my Wii U virtual console and it's maybe 1/3 of the reason I enjoy my Wii U is being able to play the old Mario games, old Zeldas, etc. I like that.
Shovel Knight was clearly cut from the same cloth as some of those famous, classic older games and I believe the "classic" ...
Just make the world seem alive, you were able to with MM but in most other games it feels like the world becomes stagnant when I'm not in it.
Open world + a live world is what I would enjoy.
