I guess I could say I've been looking for a recreation of the moment I played OoT in 1998 and stepped out Kokri Forest for the first time.
I've never since had that genuine feeling of awe, wonder, and excitement about the unknown playing a game. There are great games being made but maybe it's my age, etc. but I am still craving that butterfly feeling.
TBH I've jumped into Ni No Kuni the last couple weeks on PS3 and have been in love with it. ...
Shhhhuuuuuuuuu
I believe VR is the next "step" in gaming in the same way "open world" was a new step for gaming.
Not every game will need, use, or even benefit from VR. But there are definitely experiences that VR lends itself to.
The horror genre will be revolutionized by VR, as an example. But I don't think all games, all genres, and all devs will love and want and need to make VR games.
I don'...
Deals like this are too good to be true. It's a known fact that the PS4/X1, even at 500gb, struggle to hold all of the updates and download space needed for games. Geez, the Wii U is great but if you play Xenoblade X half your GB's are used for that game alone (10-16 gigs I believe)
Also, these are re-pops anyways. I have a refurb'd PS3 that's been working for 2+ years now so I'm not saying they're broken. But I bought a "last gen" consol...
@Frinker
You're more obsessed with 1st party exclusives than simply... games. SF5 comes out, Gravity Rush comes out, Mighty No. 9, Unravel, Far Cry Primal, MLB The Show... Believe all of those come out BEFORE UC4.
If there's not something "new" in there for you to play on your PS4 then I don't know why you would own the console. Stop being obsessed over exclusives and 1st party games.
Just play... games...
Majora's Mask 3D for me
Uncharted collection is good, I'm sure, but I plat'd all those games on PS3.
Rare Replay is good in theory but it's mainly a collection of old games people weren't clamoring for.
This was a good game if you got it for the right price. I bought it at launch and got my Plat and enjoyed my time with it. I sold it for $30 earlier in the year so I felt like I got easily $30 enjoyment out of it.
Good story and characters and setting... lackluster "time" spent in the world. I beat the game and got everything... then there was no reason to go back. Couldn't select guns at any point, no modifiers to make replaying the game fun, etc.
"People faithful to Nintendo are the only ones who clamor to the Wii U"
So tired of these types of comments. Isn't any entertainment good sold/provided that is enjoyed by people in some facet inherently make the people who like said good "faithful" to the product itself? It just doesn't make logical sense when people say these comments about Nintendo.
I have a Wii U and love it and enjoy playing it. So yes, I am "faithful&q...
Can't believe both MS and Nintendo didn't have a game with a Metacritic score about 90. Mario Maker was great, Halo 5 is a beast... you'd think some game would have hit it.
@FasterThan, Wait... I am confused. What are the "53" exclusives you think the PC has? Not being salty, but how many AAA games are PC only?
I agree that there are thousands more options of games to play on PC but, IMO, I feel that there aren't many 100% PC exclusive AAA games. X-COM 2 is the only one this year I can recall of the top of my head.
Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Halo 5, Super Mario Maker, HD Zelda's, The Order 1886... All of thes...
Beyond turned into a thing I've grown to be annoyed by. I feel like every single "host" on the show is just there.
No one is really deep into PS or has personal relationships with Sony in any way. Maybe Marty, I know he's been to Japan a few times.
If I wanted Comedy Button I'd listen to that.
Jared, Marty, Brian, and Goldfarb... that'd be your best line up. Jared at least gives balance to the other's sillines...
My GOTY is Rocket League.
Gameplay is king, had the most immersive "simple" controls. Easy to pick up and play but very difficult to be a top skill level player.
I got it for free on PS+ and have had no issues buying every bit of DLC they release to support Psyonix. The only game I've got the platinum for that I regularly play.
I think it won't be backwards compatible.
The new president has said something like: "the NX is different or set apart distinctly from the Wii and Wii U"
This type of talk makes me think they may support the Wii U but I don't see us having a situation where you can buy "new" Wii U games to play on NX (like Twilight Princess for gamecube).
I sort of hope they don't do it and focus intently on their future games....
I have a PS4 and Wii U right now. I'm very happy. The good (and bad) thing about games right now is that there is so much out there.
I'd love to play Ori or Sunset Overdrive. But I am very happy when I'm playing Yoshi's Wooly World or Tearaway Unfolded, etc.
People will always have games to play and unless you have all 3 + PC you're going to be missing out on something.
If I didn't already have a PS4 I'd be bu...
Satyre: I am sure you bought Witcher for a cheap price but it was not marked down, in NA, until around Black Friday weekend. I am sure you had trade-ins or bought it used, had a coupon, etc.
It's been $60 for a good while since it released.
Definitely ended on a soft note. I would say, for their conferences:
1) E3
2) Paris
3) PSX
4) TSG
The UC4 gameplay was superb at PSX, FF7 gameplay was nice to see, Ni No Kuni 2 is IMO a megaton announcement for Sony. Level-5 is great and I suggest everyone play Ni No Kuni, the art style and the music is amazing. Easily some of the best music in a game I've ever heard. My wife doesn't play games but watched me play Ni No Kun...
Pumped for this, please let them stick ONLY 1st party and 2nd party exclusives.
Sony Bend New IP
I bet we get a surprise announcement too, like a ND teaser for TLOU2 or new Sci Fi IP.
Nintendo said please kindly cease and desist, obviously.
Odd though, Ninty actually sponsors (did) in the past if I remember correctly, in fact, I don't know if there was an Evo since this launched that they didn't acknowledge or sponsor Project M.
Probably related to all the NX/Wii U stuff going on. Maybe they think doing this will increase the revenue/value of the current SSMB games?
Light on story... multiplayer only game... sense not made
Yes true, although I do wonder if on some guns I have a "ghost" affect while using the grip wherein the grip doesn't help I just think it does.
