I wonder if this'll wash away the bad taste of DmC. I also hope they go about with better PR than they did with that title; a lot of what they said was arrogant at best and downright stupid at worst.

Except from footage shown it doesn't look like a horror game in the slightest. The mere fact airstrikes exist as a gameplay element implies you've got long-range support and when you can call down what is essentially the fist of God to get you out of a tight spot you lose whatever tension there was.

As a zombie-slaughtering sandbox game DR3 might be a decent title but don't you give me any bullshit about 'Horror' Capcom because in the time since Code Veron...

I've gone through Half Life at least a dozen times since I first got my mitts on it many years back. There's not a lot it does that more recent titles haven't done better since, but regardless, it's more than worth a visit.

The modding community was pretty great too. Try some SP mods; my personal recommendations are They Hunger and Heart of Evil.

@soniqstylz: Fair enough but I'll wager there'd still be people who'd complain if I didn't point it out beforehand.

!!!!SPOILERS IN THIS POST! SKIP IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED TLOU YET!!!!

I like to think there's certainly the attachment factor, but I also like to think that perhaps, when Joel was told Ellie was going to have to die in order to find out what made her immune, that he took a step back and looked at humanity as a whole. Who he was, what he's done and the state of affairs as a whole. In one collectible, it's estimated that roughly 60-65% of the world's populati...

I was just about to say Valve, then I remembered they haven't released a game in like, forever, except sodding DOTA 2 a ridiculous number of times.

So yeah, I guess you're kinda there.

'Kill it with fire' sums it up pretty nicely. Few molotovs or a few bursts from the flamethrower will barbeque the suckers in seconds.

I don't see Possession on that list anywhere.

My wallet isn't.

I'm going to need to find a job this summer.

So far my favourite game of all time is Resident Evil 4, followed pretty damned closely by God Hand and The Last of Us.

This still looks pretty damned amazing though. Hope we see the PC release sometime soon cause my 360's been dead for a few weeks now.

@DragonKnight:
I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head there. That the PS4 will allow consumers to play used games without a fee and not be required to be connected to the internet every 24 hours should not have had to be advertised as a feature when so many of us would have expected this to begin with.

EDIT
Aw God wrong comment, how embarrassing.

I'm inclined to agree; the EARLY BUILD of Thief looked pretty disappointing but hell, they've got plenty of time to make it ship shape before release day.

I'm fairly certain that's meant to be ironic.

I never really got around to playing DeS, but I loved DaS. Don't think I've played a game that actually makes you a better player by punishing you since God Hand. Terrific fun and extremely satisfying.

Good on 4A, Last Light is a fantastic game and a more than worthy sequel.

Pretty much this.

Sorry hardline RE fans, you look through nostalgia goggles all you want but the fact of the matter is that simply navigating through the pre-RE4 games was a royal pain in the behind. Hell, part of the reason I avoided combat so much of the time was because it was simply impractical, those fixed camera angles helped none and that final boss fight in RE2 killed me hundreds of times simply because those controls were so clunky.

Don't get me...

Microsoft are acting like a bunch of cunts lately. They were never great to begin with but now it's like they've got their heads stuck up their own arses because they clearly can't see how much they're alienating their original user base. That being the gamers who bought a console not to stream TV shows or films, not to social network, but to sit down after a long, tedious day's work and blast some space aliens with oversized guns.

Unless MS pulls out some...

It's a Resident Evil game and - more to the point - a Capcom game. Everyone knows Capcom can't write its way out of a paper bag.

I am quite looking forward to this though. Tried the demo and good God those twelve minutes were better and more tense than the entirety of RE6.

This game was corny, the dialogue hammy, the plot ridiculous and there were more cusses than a night out in London.

And I loved every goddamned second of it.

Easiest comparison I can make in terms of tone is Blood Dragon. It's meant to be of the 'so-bad-it's-awesome&# 39; ilk and it pulls it off magnificently. I loathed the other House of the Dead games because they were as silly as the Resident Evil games but insisted on taking themselves entirel...
