It's good, because casuals are what made this gen one of the shittest in recent memory.
TheLyonKing has it right, Kaz should walk onto the stage, stare at the crowd for a good 2 or 3 minutes without saying a word, Suddenly out of nowhere a drumroll begins, starting slow and speeding up gradually. As the drumroll reaches the optimal speed, Kaz turns around dropping his trousers and bending over at the same time, Tatooed on his left buttock are the letters PS but nothing is written on the right one, in a flash he pulls his buttcheeks apart and the letter 4 is written on the inside...
Mario 64 is still the greatest mario game to date, still waiting on Mario 128 in the same format.
Gotta be,
Ocarina of time
Majoras mask
Mario 64
mariokart 64
Goldeneye
starfox
southpark -just kidding.
@WiiUsauce
It's interesting that such a big fan of Nintendo has no idea about their IPS, Rhythm Heaven Fever is not a new IP this is the third in the series. The original (rhythm tengoku) being on the GBA, the second on the DS and the third being on the Wii.
This is actually one of the only remaining series that I like on Nintendo consoles, probably because it was created by the WarioWare team. Mind you, they haven't made a good warioware game jam pac...
The PC version says hello.
I started with a 360 this gen, two years in I purchased a ps3 and haven't really looked back. I still play my xbox, but the games really started to suffer the last few years. Multiplats I just get on the PC, last 2 games I bought on the 360? Halo 4 and gears 3.
rather just pick-up my vita and play high quality games than play Nova or other overated mobile games.
You can have 1080p @60hz per eye in checkerboard format over HDMI, I know because I use it.
Well, any game that features "always online" is a downgrade. I hope it fails, hard. So that EA can learn from their stupid mistakes.
Doubley Posty
Ah yes. I remember rebellions avp on the pc. That was amazing all those years ago. Took me days of scrubbing to get the brown out of my pants.
I love gears multiplayer, gears 1,2 and 3 I enjoy playing online. However the single player is pretty repetitive and boring.
You are lying to yourself if you think gears 2 got fixed, it didn't, it's still broken now. The only way they could fix the engine was to get dedicated servers as they did with 3. I was still getting games where players spawn with no guns and can't shoot a few months ago. Not only that, the host advantage was ridiculous, shots wouldn't register ...
Well, they were forced to create the game... Their creative direction was stifled due to money grabbing antics. Don't expect a good game when your heart isn't in it.
Anyone who mentions mobile games competing is a moron. Core gamers have and will be the main focus in the long run of running a successful game business. EA are hitting the mobile market hard, yes.. But they are late to the party.
Casuals are not a dependable customer and people who use their damn iPhones for gaming should not even be in this conversation.
Consoles have and always will be for the core, just because they decided over the last couple of years that the wii/ Kine...
@Hellzsupernova
No need to mention those games. Quake is all that is necessary.
Patcher is hardly illogical, what he says rings true, he is an investor, if he was wrong all the time he would be poor.
The wiiU is looking more and more like the Gamecube to me, something I might pick up when the Gen is over. That all depends if Nintendo start making good games again like on the Cube.
I like Nintendo, but recently their quality has been lacking. The 3DS launch was terrible, I was waiting for games for a year and it seemed everything they released was rushed. Mario 3d land / mario kart all felt rushed and lacking in content.
I think we'll see the same thing here, Nintendo have done the exact same thing, no games for ages and then a bunch of rushed first party names.
The game is 2d, it will be rendered in 1080p on all 3 consoles and will not be superior on either one.
It's hardly a system intensive game that pushes consoles to their limits, a pentium 3 with a voodoo 2 could probably run rayman fine.
The real question is, why get a Wii U when I can play this on a 360/PS3 pad.
@truechainz
"slapping a beard on Nathan Drake, giving him a sidekick and putting him in a survival thriller must have taken all of 20 min to come up with"
Thats like saying Sega took sonic the hedgehog gave him throwing stars and made him taller for shinobi.
Just because you build upon a game engine doesn't at all mean the games are similar, other wise halflife would be Quake 1, and COD would be quake 3.
