Yeah, all the footage looked really repetitive, and not that original. This game COULD really be a lot more, if they ever revisited it, but I assume they cancelled it for a reason...

I think the game sounds really cool. I do feel like an idiot when saying the name to people, but having to use the touchscreen in real time and not getting to play as the same character if you die are both ideas that make for a more real, visceral experience. EVERY OTHER game has you as a superhuman killing machine that can mow down thousands of zombie/aliens/soldiers without ever being affected while you reload with lightning fast precision. While that can be fun, so can a more realistic tak...

The trailer made me chuckle a few times, but hopefully some gameplay will be shown. I would love to know how Killer Freaks evolved into a zombie game... And I hope that this isn't another Red Steel, where it sucks at launch, and 4 years later we get a cool sequel.

Nice, an early fix to make these final days bearable.

Well, the Wii WAS hurting for software throughout 2011. America is finally starting to see a lot of titles that were sitting over in Japan/Europe. But again, it's all first party stuff, so far. The Operation Rainfall games, Rhythm Heaven, Mario Party 9, Fortune Street, and the upcoming Epic Mickey 2 are a pretty good lineup of titles, but there's been nothing else, really. Hopefully E3 will have a little Wii love, even if it is downgraded ports of WiiU games...

This article is clearly just trying to bait people... Yeah, the event hasn't happened yet, so it's not the worst or best ever. And we certainly haven't seen everything that's coming. As a Nintendo fan, I'd love to see some actual games on the system, which is something no one has seen yet. Great times for a console fan. Last year sucked, I though, but I certainly couldn't have guessed that until after seeing the conference coverage.

I don't think it should be as black and white as either episodic or not episodic. Why not release smaller Zelda adventures from newer teams (or other devs, entirely... Retro, anyone?) to fill in the long wait between mainline Zelda releases? I'd pay $10-15 for a short dungeon or three, maybe expanding on previous Zelda universes (such as Wind Waker or Link to the Past...). I'd also pay for downloadable quests for Skyward Sword... I would take episodes, but even shorter standalone ...

Very excited about a new 2D Castlevania portable title, even if it is actually in 3d... Never played Lords of Shadow, but im cool with cross play if it's not too vital to the gameplay...

Mario launched with the Gameboy Advance and DS, as well, although in remake form. I picked up Super Mario Bros 2 on launch day for the Advance... I feel like since good games take longer to make, now, getting AAA titles on day one or in the launch window is becoming more rare. It's a weird situation, because the system has to launch eventually, whether great games are done or not, so you just have to hope enough lead time was provided to developers... I can see WiiU launching with a pack-...

Oh, and Mario in Heaven/Hell is what I would like to see next!

5034d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

The article is bashing Mario, a bit, in that it keeps telling Nintendo what to do and what not to do... I think they've got it figured out. More than fire and ice levels? Done, since every Mario game has that. No Miis? Okay, since no game has done that yet, either. The upcoming WiiU game based off the E3 demo MIGHT have that, but it USA spinoff, anyway. Just let Nintendo do what they do best!

Yeah, this is a bit far-fetched... Personally, I could see them mixing the franchises together, but this just sounds like two totally different games tacked together for no reason. You're playing a moody 1st person exploration game that switches to an arcade space fighter every other level? That sounds a little schizophrenic. Actually, I'd more likely see it as two separate games that have linking stories, like you're Samus and you keep hearing about this Fox McCloud guy, or you&#...

I feel like the article has missed most of what this game is supposed to be about... First, it has nothing to do with the movie. Second, it's based on the Secret Invasion comic book story, although I have to wonder how much this will be modeled after the current animated incarnation because third, this is a motion game like Star Wars or DBZ for Kinect. It probably won't be fun for anyone who isn't a wide eyed kid who loves waving around in front of a tv. I assumed the WiiU version...

Well that is a lot of interesting info... If the rumor about them running games off sd cards last year is true, maybe they couldn't fit the tech into that tiny box? Weird. And I hope we see what Retro is doing.

The closing comment that there is currently no reason to buy a WiiU over any other system on the market is so ridiculous! You mean three weeks before any aspect of the final system has been revealed? Maybe don't knock it until any of the system's details are disclosed, yeah? Since reports of power are widely diverse, it is obviously all speculation, except that developers actually working on the WiiU have straight up said that it is MORE powerful and is NOT struggling to keep up. How ...

Yeah, these articles were interesting six months ago, but so close to E3, the speculation is getting a tad tiring. No one knows what the power of the WiiU will end up being, or what the power of the even farther away Ps4 and 720 will end up being, or what new WiiU games we'll see at E3. In terms of consoles, companies are only as good as the systems they are currently supporting. You can see Sega riding high with the Genesis, then stumbling hard with the Saturn and Dreamcast, almost with ...

Agreed. It actually looks really good, focusing more on opinion that you can't get anywhere else, rather than old news... Magcloud gets pretty pricey, if ordering a physical copy, but it's nice that they're free online. The covers could use a bit of work, though...

Well, we're so close to E3 that I'm tired of even speculating about the power of the WiiU and what its graphics will look like. On the topic of shovelware, however, I think that we'll be spared, this gen. Crap titles like the pictured Cold Stone Creamery game were bountiful because dev costs on the Wii were quite low, in comparison to PS3/360 HD titles. Now, though, the shovelware will flow to the most recent casual fad: tablets and phones. I imagine that the 3DS and WiiU's do...
