I held off on the PS3 for a long time, at first because of price, and then because I wanted some of the same features I have in the 360.
I recently decided to get a PS3 based on the feature set, which I believed would include cross game invites, custom soundtracks in every game, and the bevy of Multimedia awesome that the PS3 has had since day 1.
I'm still getting a PS3, but I am disappointed, and I hope, they can resolve these issues quickly.

The ONLY way to guarantee a foolproof console is to use tried tested, and obsolete technology. i.e. The Wii.
Exactly how is a company supposed to predict how TIME, and a dozen firmware updates will affect their hardware?
What's interesting here is the numerous defenders of Diablo III and Starcraft II.
In the console world sequels which fail to deliver substantial updates in visuals/gameplay over their predecessors, are declared version .5 of said predecessor.

This is a valid commentary, and PSN I know is extremely pleasant in comparison, for the moment, but flashback to Live just 4 years ago, and the environment was very much the same.
Lets hear less whining, and some more suggestions.

I had more fun with Assassin's Creed as well. Truly an evolution in gameplay.
What 2k did do, was force reviewers to play the game in hotel rooms, prior to the games release. They only allowed reviewers to play the game for a few hours at that.
I loved GTAIV through the first few missions... within 11 hours is when I began to realize the game is repetitive as all heck, every 10 missions still leads into a unique scenario, but the bulk of the game is very much been there done that.

I love my AA games, and these reviewers are becoming more and more like Ebert and Roper.
I played the original on HARD from the onset, and found the game to be entirely accessible. Yes its difficult, choosing the right weapon, and combos, goes a long way in NG. Without the difficulty NG is completely forgetful, boring, and bland. I'm just hoping the new health system doesn't make the game too easy.

That site is not making the exact same claim as the original. While they do state that the consoles with 2 controllers, and PGR4 / Halo 3 is not the falcon chipset, they do not claim they are refurbs.
