I guarantee the devs knew this game would not be ready months ago, but were pushed by the higher ups to the point of exhaustion, just for a few vertical slices to show @ E3.
Everyone who's left that company, has nothing but bad things to say about it. Executives, countermanding each others decisions, left, right and center.
Hot Coffee, and Manhunt 2 were just the start. Take 2 should start cleaning house before it costs them even more money. Announcing a release ...
Its that simple, now if Bluray were to sign off on the license price for HDi with MS, then I might agree with this article.
HDi > Java as far as I know.
Region free HD-DVD also means I can get a better price.
Everyone here remember Rogue Squadron? Would it receive a great score today, with the same mission structure, only one ship, less than 10 hours of gameplay, and a glossy coat of paint? Granted the ship is very cool.
If the game is too easy, and unwieldy, why would they give it a good score? EGM and Gamepro don't review games, until the developer/publisher sends them final REVIEW code.
If it wasn't ready to be reviewed, then the developer/publisher, should not ha...
Believe me, as a 360 owner they show no bias towards that console, or the dozen+ red rings of death they've had at their offices.
Peter Moore's departure according to them was a huge blow to Xbox.
The billion dollar payout brought speculation of MS shutting down the 360 workshop on their podcast. They still see it as a loser in the console war.
1up more than any other website have pushed the PS3 since launch, even without games. Stating 'just wait'...
Well this is their last chance, other than MK, and The Suffering I've seen nothing but dissappointment from this developer.
Hour of Victory anyone?
I never could get into these games on the PS1, 2. Hopefully this generation Namco can give me a reason to like this Arcade flight sim.
All I can say for now is that it looks really good.
Peter Moore developed the division from scratch @ Sega over 6 years ago.
As to whether or not he's learned from his mistakes.
What's it they say about teaching old dogs?
360 as strictly a marketing tool, is worth a lot more to MS than the .08 per share this analyst is predicting.
Guys like Breza and Pachter are of the same breed. Don't they ever tire of being wrong, and irrelevant?
And MS hasn't even begun to 'milk' Halo.
Here are some franchises that have already been milked for over a decade : Quake, Doom, Unreal, Half-Life, MGS, Syphon Filter, Final Fantasy, Mario bros, Mario kart, Mario Party, Dragon Ball Z, Prince of Persia, RPG#2543, Elder Scrolls, etc. etc. etc.
Third installment isn't warranted? Should they just leave us with that cliff hanger from Halo 2?
This thread is fanboy bait, and a bad joke.
KOTOR, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Morrow Wind, Crimson Skies, Rainbow Six, Forza, I can go on.
Go back to class son. Recess is over.
and never looked back. Nintendo has always had the younger market, and my first girlfriend loved Dragon Quest. The difference is in 1985, and 1989, $100 was a lot more money.
It was one or the other, not both, and I think most girls wanted the doll first, and the gameboy/NES second. At age 12,13,14 it seemed to shift from games, to clothes, shoes, and 'hot 18 year old boys'.
You're a tool
Quick what are the lottery numbers?
When wil Google stock split?
Tell me now!
'Rushing' the 360 to market is the main reason MS is still in this generation. Without that headstart, they'd be done for.
and this is bad news how? Keighley really needs to take a history class.
What does it take to be a game reporter today?
1) Frosted tips
2) Pale complexion
3) 15 years reporting on an ever changing industry without ever changing your tune.
4) A network of "friends", who meet the first 3 criteria.
Any gamer should be happy to own both consoles.
Hey Panasonic beat Samsung in Plasma sales last month.
What do you mean you don't care?
What's next? Why are there so many fanboys on N4G?
and you Xbox haters really believe MS will pull out?
Share holders? Since when does MS respond to Share holders?
The company's future is intertwined with the Xbox brand, just as much if not more so than Windows.
There will be changes, but MS is not Sega, and $7 billion in losses over 7 years pails in comparison to the 12 billion MS rakes in every year. Just another tax write off.
This is the best thing for Moore, and MS. If the Zune deserve...
about an American company allowing/pushing a failing employee to leave? This isn't Japan, they don't owe him anything, and he doesn't owe MS anything.
Every man for himself I say. Its the American way.
Heads need to roll at R* or else Take 2 is done for. They'll have to liquidate assets, and R* should be first on the block.
Any takers? I hear its a real clusterf*ck over there.
