I will not buy Move, at least not during its first year or two on the market. I will buy Kinect this November.
I have never seen my wife react to any videogame trailer the way she did when she saw Dance Central, and Your Shape. That sold Kinect to my family. Even the Wii could not generate the same level of excitement from my very casual wife.
If you're a core gamer, and MGS4, KZ2, UC2 didn't sell you on a PS3 why would a Wiimote add-on do the trick?...
Crackdown was/is epic fun, and tagging Halo onto it actually hurt the title's reception. Just something else for the fanboys to hate on.
2 years later and I still find myself jumping from roof top to roof top, driving my monster truck and discovering more orbs.
Those are the reasons YOU bought GTA games, not everyone thinks alike.
@ Godmars
None of us can live ahead of the release schedule.
Never finished the original, nope wasn't interested anymore. I bought The Lost and Damned day one, and played it to completion.
Now I'm back to GTAIV, living the life of Niko Bellic, and its an awesome experience.
Sometimes you just need a kick to complete those games you leave behind.
Many factors drive Console sales.
Here are my completely random top 3.
- Exclusive franchises
- Low Price of Entry
- Stream of quality highly ranked games pushed to market on a regular basis.
PS3 has 2 out of 3, and Xbox has 2 out of 3. First to 3 wins?
Back on topic. The GTA Lost and Damned episode, will sell to every owner of GTAIV on Live, who still has his/her original GTA disc.
Not to mention the game, c...
I usually end up owning the games he reviews. Good or Bad they're mostly AAA. Barring the Wii games, Too Human, etc.
I find that his gripes, are my gripes. Eventhough with Gears I don't mind the chest high walls there really aren't that many... are there?
I bought Saints Row 2 on his recommendation alone, and it was everything he said it would be. GTA IV, Halo 3, MGS 4, Call of Duty 4. This man just tells it like it is, no fanboy, no hype.
I guess ...
And this game will sell well. The problem I see for Killzone is that I'm all SHOOTER gamed out. No more, please. I can't play another FPS for at least another 2 years, or until I finish all of 2007, and 2008s shooters.
That includes but is not limited to:
Bioshock
MGS4
Far Cry 2
Call of Duty 4 (Ya I played it a lot, but never finished the single player)
GeOW2
and the list goes on and on, and on.
Whichever comes first.
Really? DTV is the cause you're going to champion F*cking GOP

What could possibly go wrong with all my personal data.
60 gb.cap + 5mbps pipe makes this complete vapor wear. Not to mention the security concerns.
but after that little video, I have to wait and see the reviews. It may hit the Used game shelves faster than you can say GTA4.

Edit : This is the 32 bit version. Will expire in 30 days, without key.
However, each of the consoles I purchased prior to working a consistent full time job, was easy to hack. This was THE factor. Can I hack it? Then sign me up.
Don't get me wrong, I wish I could have bought all the games legit; but when you're broke, you're broke, and if downloading and renting/ripping is easier than finding the retail game. So be it.
If this was the only factor though; MS would have sold 100 million Xbox consoles. This console more than any other ...
I wish, but we both know better. This stain does not come off, we'll stop hearing about it after a new model 360 is released.
If I were running the show I would recommend a slim model that doesn't have red LEDs. In retrospect I think it would have been better to go the Mac route, and not even notify the end user something went wrong. The "silent crash" on the Mac is one of the features that allows it to claim a more reliable OS than Windows.

Almost everyone's NES stopped reading cartridges at one point in time, almost everyone's PS1 and PS2 stopped reading discs at one point in time.
RROD is a massive failure on MS' part; how widely spread the problem is, has been magnified 1000x by the ever present internet.
I have 2 Xbox 360s, 1 launch, the other purchased in May neither of which have RROD. I'm either really lucky, or the problems being reported are overblown, take your pick.
Its goo...
Maybe, it could have been put on the disc, maybe it was complete. Maybe we should all wait till we know more, before we go off the hilt.
Looking at the dev diary for Lionhead it is clear they were on crunch time since early 2008.
I have no doubt this was the plan all along, but it does seem to be a tangential story arc. Which would fit well into the Fable II universe. Personally I'm hoping for more beyond this expansion.
I might be pissed, if Fable...
Wow 3 years and no problems, and blam November 23 the thing dies? That's one unlucky SOB.
Edit: Oh wait its not November 23 yet, so every single 360 since launch still has a warranty. If they really wanted to screw people over, MS should have waited a week.
LOL, I have the same issue with my surround sound and PS3. Cable box gives me the same problem.
The funniest part, is all I have to do is turn on the 360 the surround sound picks up that input, and then switch over to PS3 to get it working on the PS3 again... I can't explain it, can you?
I'm pretty sure gaming destroys long term memory. When Wii was released 90% of "core" gamers said, and continued to repeat for months that it was a fad, and would die.
Well I've learned my lesson. Whether Kinect/Move succeed or fail, is completely outside my control. All I need to do, is thank MS and Sony for moving the ball forward. Or I could whine and bitch about a product that doesn't interest me.
