I think they slightly over scored this game. I am playing it now, and nearing the end. I love the game. But it doesn't have a good enough story to warrant that score. There isn't much to get the player to make any real connection to the character. Not all games need a fantastic story, but this game just needs something to create more of a motivation for the player. Ubi did a great job in the gameplay and scenery of the game. Overall I highly recommend the game but it is just a few twea...
They aren't taking it out of IW's hands. IW demanded a 2 year production cycle, and they got it. However Activision still wanted a new CoD to come out every year. I am glad the IW got their 2 year production time, it allowed them to make modern warfare so good. If Treyarch stopped making CoD games then you would still be waiting 2 years for the next one from IW. You are not better or worse off with Treyarch making a CoD game.
First of all the reason a German in the game would have a Japanese gun is because you pick you class, then your team. If your class has a Japanese gun, then no matter who you are you have that gun. Sheees it isn't rocket science.
I thought I was going to hate this game, but after the beta I'm sold.
You cannot classify SOCOM as a fps. It is in the third person. Traditional SOCOM also has no respawn. Yes, I know there is the option for it in confrontation, but that isn't how SOCOM is set up to be played. In CoD4 you can be very successful by running and gunning, not so much in SOCOM. In every game mode of SOCOM you need to think out your moves, and work as a team. That isn't so in CoD4. Yes CoD4 has s&d, but that is it. Also s&d doesn't have the same teamwork and planning ...
You are going to need more than ounce to get through that many hours of gameplay.
Ahhh yes memories.
Yeah dude, you don't smoke shrooms. I suppose you could, but I wouldn't recommend it. I always just ate them. Also, they are not delicious. They taste like the oddest combination of stale fart and sunflower seed.
Once I woke up 300 miles south of home in San Francisco. That was a weird wild night.
The only thing the ad doesn't tell you is that the 129.99 price tag doesn't include a hdd. Yes that is misleading. I believe that you also have a gold subscription to use the Netflix feature as well, but I could be wrong about that I don't use Netflix.
Any smart consumer should ask questions about the product they buy when they are spending that much money, especially when they are given multiple SKUs to choose from. If you don't use thought to make a good decision upon purc...
lol Of course R2 looks better. That shouldn't surprise anyone. besides R1 was a launch game. No launch games look good. Remember Perfect Dark for the 360. That was a butt ugly launch game.
Especially with the switch to HD signal, many people will be buying HDTVs this holiday. When you get that big of a new toy you want something that is going to show it off. PS3 does that best with the blu-ray player and 1080p native games.
Ummm.... The freezing glitch has to do with PSN announcements in the corner of the screen. If you aren't connected to the PSN, then you aren't going to get those announcements freezing your game. So not being able to download a patch to fix a problem that won't effect you isn't really a problem.
Please stop refering to XBL as having a bunch more features than PSN. XBL has Netflix, and that is fine if you use it, but I don't have a Netflix account nor do I intend on getting one. Besides Sony has their own movie download system. We don't have TV shows, but I don't watch TV anyway and don't want to. The only feature that XBL has that PSN doesn't is the cross game chat. I do admit that I do want that for the PSN. That would be a lot easier than sending text messages. But when the ...
First: That looks jaw dropping gorgeous. I will be getting this on day one.
Second: Even though I believe this game will prove to be much much better than Halo, I don't think it will be a Halo killer. Halo has the face of Master Chief. He is a generic sci-fi hero, that anyone can enjoy. Halo has more mass appeal than Killzone. That doesn't make it in anyway better. Look at Pop Music vs. good music.
I have enough extra controller crap. I don't need anymore.
I had a 40GB HDD and i ran into that problem. I didn't want to deal with that ever again, so I went out and bought a 250GB HDD. A quick and easy install later, and I was all set. I have tons and tons of space, By the time I need to start deleting things, there will be plenty of games that I have either sold off or never play, so I will be able to clear lots of space. I also have tons of music on there, and couple of movies. My new HDD only cost me 80 bucks.
There are not enough zombie games. If every game had a zombie mode, then I would be a happier gamer. Think Samba De Amigo with zombies.
I F-ing called it. I held steady in my request for that exact thing on Charlie Oscar Delta and the GameFAQs board.
The dogs thing was called by the collective members on the PS3 gamefaqs board. It was a bad joke on some ignorant kid who thought that when you get lvl 55 prestige 10 you get to "release the hounds" I love it.
They didn't mention that the stock price drop is mainly due to asian markets crashing hard. Harder than the NYSE. Sony's price on the NYSE is largely influenced by what is going on in asian markets. Also that 65% drop is from it's 1yr high. Last time I checked MS's stock price it was 45% down from it's 1yr high. It only takes a few dollars a share drop to bring that to 65%, and that can go back and forth in just an hours time. Like it was already said the yen has dropped a lot in value....
Don't talk about the stock market unless you know what you are talking about. Yes Sony has lost about 60% share value when compared with their 1yr high. If you haven't noticed all stocks are down. A LOT. Just take a look at what the dow is doing. It is making so many sharp drastic shifts all day long, it needs a seasoned sports announcer. At MS current share price they are down 45% from their one year high, but that doesn't really mean anything. They have sunk a lot lower, and everyone s...
This is a bogus story. There will be no further delay. Even if the only thing we have is a open public beta by the end of 08, we will have some version of Home to mess around in. Though I am interested in Home, I don't think it will shine until it has been updated at least 4 times. I'm not trying to be skeptical, but that sort of thing is the trend.
I don't disagree with their complaints. I like having options. Gamers in general like to have options. The weapon wheel gave us options. Taking and our options away was bad.
Though they can't say that the first one didn't feel scripted. The game gave you exactly what you needed for every battle. Everytime I saw a full load of shotgun ammo one of two things was coming, the bugs or the dogs. A fareye would be on the ground and then I'd walk into a long open level. Right bef...
