We haven't gotten many good JRPGs this gen in general. Perhaps White Knight and FFXIII will be different.
They said that everything about the game was great, except for the fps count. frame rate is important, but I don't know if I would drop a games score that low over frame rate unless it seriously impedes game play.

I hate it when people assume that someone posting about games is a teenager with no job. I am 26, with a career, bills, and responsibilities. I don't have a family to tend to though. I agree. I am looking forward to downloading the update because I hate the blades system with a passion. There is nothing revolutionary about it. It uses Nintendo like avatars, XMB like menu system, and Apple like images. They just took something from each of their competitors and put it together. I am glad that they did, but they aren't exactly using all their own ideas.
Somebody please explain how advertising effects me as a gamer. I don't watch TV. I don't see the ads anyway. I am not a fanboy who cares about who outsold who during what week. I care about games. As a PS3 gamer I won't be disappointed. As a 360 gamer, I won't be disappointed. Sounds like a whole lot of not being disappointed.

Fry's generally beats BB's prices. I like Fry's. From what I know they haven't released their sales yet.
Yes it is called black friday because the number of sales puts them in the black. However, I don't know about this year. Circuit City does have them beat. I was looking at the scans of the flier, and idk that this is real. If it is real then this is BB's worst black friday to date. If this is real, then they must be counting on their secret sales. But this is really disappointing. Oh well. We will know next sunday.

Halo 3 was marketed to death. However Wii Play has sold nearly twice as many copies as Halo 3.
People seem to forget that no matter what system a game is developed on the goal of the developer is to make them look and play the same. Only when a developer totally fails with one system does it really matter. When you have to split hairs as to which is better than the other, then you are taking it too far. Perhaps if the goal with multiplat games was to optimize it completely for each system independently, then there would be reason to compare like this.

I don't watch TV so I don't see any of the commercials. What I do see is in store advertising. For MS exclusives it is like the redundant monster exploded in the store. The first thing you see when you walk in is a big cardboard ad, and then there is more all over the store. Sony needs to up their in store marketing to people who walk in the store clueless.
Seriously?!? Blu-ray is doing far better than DVD at this point in it's life cycle. The economy takes a dumper, and sales slow. So everyone starts saying that the format is dying. WTF? This just a bunch of BS from bloggers looking for hits.
That is about what I expected. I questioned the hype for this game from day one. Not that I thought it was going to be a bad game, just that it wouldn't as good as everyone thought it would be.
The only problem with that is Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey blew major goatage.
As it has been stated the mouse is the best FPS controller. So there is a solution to that for the PS3. The FragFX by Splitfish. It is half mouse, half sixaxis. I love it. I use it for all my FPS's.
I'll admit the game looks very beautiful. Ultimately I will hold off judgement until I can play the game, but I feel like the only person who isn't impressed by the concept of the game. I have a hard time getting past the description, "it is like a fps, except without the guns". This game may very well turn out to be amazing, but I am not expecting it to be. I'll be sure to give it a rent though.
