can't wait for this.
I can't recall a FPS that had a flamethrower in it that really felt right (not that I'd know, but how I think it would feel or look). It was wrong in Fallout 3, WaW and KZ2. I guess it is hard to simulate the dynamics.
Still waiting for more 3D games before I bite. GT5 would take me there but the price is still a bit high (coming from a 55" I'd want something at least that big).
Probably around the time KZ3 ships is when I'll move.
this has always been an issue with racing games. i remember on PC gaming on some joysticks you could use the hat for the view which was great.. although it didn't allow for great subtle movements, but for a game like mechwarrior 2 it was fantastic to quickly look left/right/back.
for racing games it would be great if this worked right.. although for some reason i think maybe the sixaxis would be a decent way to control view. perhaps there would be a toggle button to use s...
looks like an interesting option for a party game or something to play with girls.
i got the move on release and i'm waiting for something to play. i have sports champions and RE5:GE.
this looks OK.. but if they were releasing Samba De Amigo updated with new graphics and all of the old songs plus new ones.. I'd be all over it
i owned the maracas controllers for the dreamcast and they weren't that great.. the move controllers would...
it's 50" and i currently have a non-3D 55" LCD.
there is a strong force inside of me that prevents me from purchasing a new tv that has a smaller viewing area, regardless of quality improvement.
at this point i'm also not totally convinced about purchasing a 3D tv. I just feel like after a generation or two the 3D sets will be a lot better. (headaches, viewing angles etc)
I've purchased MW, WaW, MW2 all on release day.
MW I played the most and enjoyed it.
WaW I played a little less and enjoyed it a little less.
MW2 I played once through single player and only a little bit online.
I just got tired of the gameplay of CoD. It's way too fast and arcadey. After playing a game like Bad Company 2 online it's almost impossible to go back.
I'd probably enjoy the single player a lo...
I kind of hope there are these more advanced features (and some silly ones I think might be cool):
- LAN play
- multi-console/monitor support for left/right view or track camera
- use PSP as rearview camera (novel but i would enjoy the novelty)
- use the PS EYE to show your head in the corner while racing kind of like they do in some rally racing
- 4 player split-screen
- "clan" / ...
at the end of the day it's just a lot easier to see without using iron sights..
a comment on both the rough quality finish of F:3 and F:NV and the low quality in general in today's $60 games.
loved flower, flow wasn't that great but it was one of the first PSN titles..
i wish they would push the visuals a bit more in their games. flower was actually quite beautiful but it left me thinking there was a lot more they could have done given the platform.
which i feel is legitimate and not trolling.
i have wipeout HD and while i thought it looked sexy i didn't find it to be that great.
wipeout is kind of a tired franchise and the gameplay hasn't changed much at all. yeah it's visually impressive and the soundtrack and production are top notch.. but i'd say it's over-rated.
i'd say it deserves maybe a 75 out of 100 with most reviews giving it 90 or so.
Whether a dev uses 100% of the PS3's power does not indicate that the maximum performance has been used.
A poorly optimized game might max out the PS3 but still look and perform worse than a game that has very efficient programming that only uses 50% of the PS3's power.
Look at some of the crappy PS3 ports. I'm sure a lot of them use 100% of the PS3's power which is why they run slow or had to be downscaled. The problem was the code was poorly...
I played a decent bit of Warhawk being an early PS3 adopter. I also got the DLC for the game as well.
I enjoyed it but overall I can't consider it a game I ever want to go back and play. Like some other people mentioned, I was not a fan of the style/art of the game. The players seemed like little dwarf kids and overall it had a very toonish element to the style. I also found the 3rd person perspective to not suit the game personally and never really felt that immersed. ...
Too bad, it would have been worth a replay with trophies.. without nah.
i really wish i had a gaming PC now.. Fallout is fun on the PS3 but with mods it would be a lot cooler..
I love FPS and even the realistic military genre.. however it is getting tiresome and I would love to see some more creativity.
Scifi would be great, if done in not a cartoonish way.
voice chat volume should be able to be turned off in settings on all games. i hate games where you have to individually mute each player every time i'm thinking modern warfare, but could be wrong.
it's either some suburban white kid who thinks he's a ghetto inner-city gang banger or some high pitched 10 year old kid screaming come on guys let's attack!
Unless you're in a private party, to me voice chat ruins a lot of games.
In theory it's great, but in practice it's 99.9% the sound of people playing rap music loud in the background, the sound of them eating, talking to their wife about the baby, and teenagers screaming into the mic.
I always turn off the voice or turn the voice chat volume to 0. I can't stand it.
what a stupid article
