You can do this much easier using a slingbox and the logitech harmony IR->bluetooth adapter. There is a custom remote file already for slingplayer that has the ps3 controls for the logitech harmony mapped.
This is useless for anything but strategy/rpg/coach games and of course anything else you want to do on the XMB.
The price should be less, but it's $59.99 for the PSN version.
A lot, if not most, 720p only TVs will have overscan. Not to the extent of SD but maybe 5 or 10%. ESPECIALLY the 200 ones in Walmart.
Some TVs have a "Full Pixel" setting which will remove the overscan. Again, probably not the $200 Walmart one.
I used the PC and Plasma Rifle about 50/50 in DS1. For a change I'll probably use some of the new weapons.
I gotta agree with you on this. 8 gigaBITS sounds right. (~1 gigaBYTE)
Apple bringing gaming into the casual mainstream is going to have the effect of AOL bringing non-techies onto the internet.
Sure, gaming revenue is going to increase and Apple are going to make a ton on gaming on the ipod. I'm not going to argue that.
I will argue that the quality of gaming, and especially the quality of the gaming community, will suffer. Why? The games will adjust to please the market, which will become more casual and less intelligent...
I love GT5 but head tracking is only in arcade mode only in premium cars in cockpit view.
And can you tell me where the Youtube uploading feature is?
This game can look both beautiful and flawed. The quality of the standard cars let me down a bit, and some of them do look poor.
With the sheer amonut of content I can let these things go. The premium cars do look stunning.
To get an objective look at the graphics I have to compare GT5 with Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2, both of which blew me away.
I think all of the previous GT games blew me away. GT5 is stunning but it lacked that punch in the...
this is cool, but if they had released the vietnam DLC tonight it would have made for a truly epic thanksgiving weekend.
Some of my top cars and ones I will definitely have:
- Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car ’67
- Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary ’88
- Mazda 787B Race car ’91
- Caterham Seven Fire Blade ’02
This article is terrible. It says buy HDMI cables and the more expensive the better. What a moron.
The other points are just as lame. "Make sure to enjoy the view". This is fucking terrible.
Same, couldn't justify 150 for a clutch and gated shifter. Very pleased with the GT Force.
I was hoping this would be out by Thanksgiving but thankfully we all have GT5.
I bought Shift because I played the demo and thought the crashes and effects were cool. Well I played it for a bit and got bored fast. Ended up selling it to Amazon after never playing it.
Shift 2 can suck it
The more I hear people explain why CoD annoys them I remember another reason why I stopped playing it and moved to Battlefield Bad Company 2.
this article and the person submitting it: FAIL
OK Amazon just put GT5 for release date delivery with a delivery date of Nov. 24.
I just placed mine. GO!
the apache helicopter demo looks interesting.
if i wasn't enjoying new vegas and PES2011 i'd probably have wussed out and gotten Black Ops. thankfully GT5 is on the horizon.
simple.. don't buy it. you've just solved your problem.
it doesn't matter if everyone else buys it. you didn't and you're not supporting it.
i did not buy black ops, after buying the previous current gen variants.
i will say that your analogy isn't that great though. it's not the exact same game every year, just like it's not the exact same pizza every time. you get different toppings, from different pizza joi...
I've had some big save files that were around 6-7MB each for Fallout (and New Vegas), Demon's Souls, and a few others.
So 150MB is OK but I'd prefer 1GB and also the ability to save whatever we want, not just game files.
The feature should just be generic cloud storage so that "PS3 Cloud" or something would show up under each XMB area where applicable.
Also, web access to your cloud from playstation.com
