I meant putting the HDD into the actual TV I currently own the Tivo HD-DVR from Direct TV. DJ laptops would be a great idea but for the PS3 you might as well go cheaper and just buy a bigger one. God knows you have the room in there for it and it will be much cheaper.

a 100% attach rate on 250K consoles is nowhere compared to a 50%+ attach rate of 8+ million. Even 20% is 1,600,000. Or 10% which is 800K or 3 times more then PS3s sold world wide. Not only this but the HD-DVD player for the 360 can be bought as a standalone and be the cheapest on the market.

your an idiot if you know the disc is dirty and scratched and you don't clean it before you put it in something else. It wasn't an experiment it was a guy with no DVD players, dirty discs, and a condition for being an idiot.
its the fact that the guy will throw it into another device w/o cleaning the disc. 9/10 its the dirt and not the scratches that make it unreadable. This will end up hurting the PS3's laser and destroying its ability to read discs.
cleaning a scratched disc makes an entire difference between it working and not working. I also said the same goes with every console so there is no fanboyism in my statement dumbass. I only mentioned my 360 because thats what he was complaining about. Cleaning a scratched disc will clear up the disc of all the dirt in the scratches and the trenches of the disc and will give it a better chance of playing. If you've never heard of using hot water to clean scratched discs your no gamer.
was it PS3 Fan?, This goes for every console clean your discs if you don't you introduce the chance of harming the laser or make the lifetime on it shorter. This is retarded anyway I've never had a problem watching a DVD on my 360 and I have a huge collection and i've ripped a cd onto my 360 although the cd was nearly split in half the songs came out perfect.

I didn't know a company that makes more money monthly then Sony does in a year will be a small problem. Sony went from over 60-70% of the gaming market to less then 10% of the next gen market.
