"Can Sony's Momentum Put 360 in last place in 2009?"

In a word: No.

Sony is *barely* outselling Xbox 360 at present. Just BARELY.

They have a 7-9 Million(-ish) deficit. They arent remotely close to "catching up".

Its not going to happen in 2009 -- its not going to happen in 2010 either.

6.8/10 on Metacritic != flop.

Sorry, Lair & Haze == Flop. Too Human == good. Not "great maybe"... but no way in fcuking hell is it "flop".

Sorry.

"Thankfully, you can also choose to simply steal gold, and if no one sees you, there'll be no repercussions... other than the impact such devious acts have on your character's development. So rather than trying to steal from a shop in broad daylight, which will probably end in you being chased by the local constabulary, you may be better off waiting until night, then breaking into the store."

Finally, someone designing games that make *sense*.

The New Xbox Experience (NXE) + Newton controller + $199 == an absolute *game changer* for the current race.

This is just the start of the deep, long tail that the Xbox 360 will have...

You can get the best game machine, the Xbox Elite (120GB) for $399.

BTW, bluray is a Sony-led-MPAA scheme to screw you. I'll never own a bluray player.

No one screws their customers more than Sony.

Constantly pushing proprietary and closed formats.
Paid BILLIONS to their MPAA partners ($400 to Paramount alone) to shut out the more consumer-friendly HD-DVD.
Didnt do **SHAT** to replace the PS2s that failed en mass (I had *three* PS2s die).

Sony == the most anti-consumer technology firm on the planet.

The New Xbox Experience (NXE) uses the Twist interface -- just as in Windows Media Center and Zune SW.

From Wikipedia: "The GUI uses the Twist UI (used in Windows Media Center, Zune)"

oh, you've played Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts?

Wow.

Oh, and to the nimrod above, Too Human has 6.8 / 10 on Metacritic. Not great, but not an epic failure like so many PS3 titles.

The gameplay looked TERRIBLE. It looked like one of those "multimedia videocapture movie-games" that they tried in the 80s.

With each "scene" progressing when you pressed a button (that you were prompted for) -- YUCK.

Further, Sony must think that gamers are fcukign morons after passing off those BULLSHOTS of the girls eyes and such -- after you see the game in video, with its flat textures and lack of detail and crap particle effects.

@1.1

Haze 5.5/10 on Metacritic.
Haze == a crap, generic, dead-on-arrival FPS.

Too Human 6.8/10 on Metacritic.
Too Human == an innovative, genre-expanding tour-de-force that delivers new experiences. The reviews are lower because the game doesnt meet "standard" convention.

Haze == Total waste of time.

Too Human == Action / RPG dream game.

PlayTV < Tuner Card + Windows Media Center.

The PlayTV is dead-on-arrival.

1) You cannt transfer files off the PS3, that means no copying them to your phone/psp/PC for storage/viewing.

2) You can buy BETTER and CHEAPER alternatives.

I have a Radio/TV tuner in my PC. I use Windows Media Center to pause Live TV and record (exactly like a PVR).

I watch the files on my Xbox 360 via Windows Media Center Extender.

I copy the files onto DVD volumes for long-term stora...

They better send a big shipment, because Infinite Undiscovery drops next month.

triAce is one of the most respected JRPG developers on the planet, they're going to have a *massive* Sept.

NOT "1.9B" but "$1.1B".

Sorry, oh, BTW, Sony paid more to its MPAA partners to force bluray on the market.

I wonder if this article took into account the BILLIONS that Sony gave to its MPAA partners to stop supporting HD-DVD, and in doing so, killed compeition, cut-down end-user options and screwed-over the movie watching public.

They literally gave $400 MILLION to Paramount alone.

Meanwhile, the world is going to have to throw away its DVD players because Sony wants everyone to have to buy bluray... instead of being able to gracefully upgrade to HD-DVD while still ...
