There is no end to the amount of hypocrisy you will find here on N4G. The graphics only go so far to make a game great. New, creative and exciting *situations* is what does it for me.
Lost Odyssey is busting out in that department. It really is a stand-out game. I can't recommend it enough.

You have to look at how well the Xbox 360 RPG (W&J) library compares to the other consoles.
That should point pretty clearly at Xbox 360.
I'm very suspiscious of some of the lowest reviews for Lost Odyssey. Im playing it, and it clearly doesnt deserve those low scores.
The JRPG is a unique genre, its not everyone's cup of tea. Perhaps they put the wrong reviewer (someone who just hates JRPG) on the review.
Im going to be very curious to watcht the JRPG scores on PS3 from some of those sites.
I believe the lower score is simply that the JRPG doesnt "translate" to the Weste...

Exactly. People can decide for themselves. Its a decision that has everything to do with how much money you have, and how much you want this game.
But, for the average uninformed person, this is not a very good value and many people are going to be disappointed.
Short yes. But, you can always trade-it in really quick to get a good trade in price.

Indeed. I lingered here for a long time before I created my account. And, this is exactly the kind of story this place loves.
I think we can all agree that the game is good quality.
I think you have to look at what kind of gamer you are. Do you have to play every last game? Do you have a lot of money to spend on gaming?
If yes, you should buy this (if you like this type of game).
Or, ask, Am I interested in getting a good-deal? Maybe I should get this game used in a year? Maybe I should rent it?
Look, I know many PSP owners are disappointed by the lengh...

You fail to see how Gears of War is impressive because you refuse to buy an Xbox 360.

Gears of War 2 is going to sell 5-7 million copies before the end of 2008. Yeah, many many many people are going to buy this game.
I suspect some PS3 owners might finally get tired of missing these great games and finally buy an Xbox 360. They just can't keep missing these games.
