The PS3's game library is not as good as the Xbox 360s. The rest of the year will see exceptional (FPS GotY == Gears 2; RPG GotY == Fable 2 (and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Viva Pinata, Left 4 Dead))
Goto metacritic and look for yourself - without a doubt, beyond all question, absolutely no discussion.

There will not be another disc as accepted as DVD. And, DVD is not going to be replaced by Sony's MPAA DRM scheme (bluray).
That is about 14 months away. Typically, a game is 3 years development.
So, they still have 1/3rd to go.
Who wants to bet that they *will* push back that date. Almost no chance that they'd pull it *forward* (never heard that before).
Why announce a date this early? Well, because it clearly isnt gauranteed yet -- the odds are **VERY** good that this will get pushed into 2010.
