"Just a shame I cannot have the console I think 360 should be"
I dont follow.
Are you tired of playing the most acclaimed library of games in the industry? Of enjoying the best online-gaming network?
What more do you want?
I weep for the state of journalism. But more, I week for the state of the critical thinking skills of the gamer community.
What literate person could believe such nonsense?
I dont know how many millions of profit Xbox 360 brand is worth to Australian retailers, why would they walk away from that?
Im sorry, but if you're taking this seriously, I weep for you.
Take it to the open zone. Reported as spam for writing "M$".
Dead Rising 2 would be awesome.

Sony (JP:6758 ) has a market cap of $39.88 B
Microsoft (MSFT) has a market cap of $264.13 B
What were you saying?
This is precisely the kind of material "the battle for the living room" was to bring about.
MS is doing an end-run on Broadcast & Cable companies, bringing new creative works directly to the Television.
Fantastic, they have infinite "broadcast bandwidth" on a service like this, there is no end to the kind of opportunity this represents for both users and producers.
This is the original, full and accurate story:

Cryptic should tell us more about the persistence of the game world. It is touched upon in this article, but I'd like to hear more about their plans for the Massive-ness of the gameworld.
We suffer this user's drivel endlessly, can a mod please delete this "blademask" account?
The video game console as a "cable-channel" is an interesting idea.
It woul dbe very interesting to see the numbers for cable-channels compared to Xbox 360 in the USA. At some point, the living-room concosle, or DVR (TiVo) is going to become an attractive target for original works.
This is a very interesting and innovative move in the console space.
"Promises, expectations and more promises. There's a lot riding on Fable 2, and anything less that an RPG revolution will be met with huge disappointment."
Thats a bit unfair I think. The game is what it is. Now, Molyneux should probably know better by now than to over-promise things, he does deliver excellent games, and he has every right to be proud of his work, but this "it has to be the best game in history or it underdelivered" idea is totally unfair....
@15.1
It was Sony who was called out for offering dollars for review scores. It was Sony who was caught fabricating review scores for their films (and were fined and paid penalties for such).
I think you'll want to be careful about who you suggest offers bribes in the industry.
Further, everyone uses promotional materials like that. Most of it ends up raffled to gamers, we all win.
"Minus the 'have to be logged into PSN to play downloaded game', which is identical to what Microsoft does."
Sorry, thats not the case. You can play all your games, Downloaded or not, without a LIVE connection.
You are inaccurate sir.
@JsonHenry
I agree with you somewhat. But Nintendo is really resting on their laurels. Another Metroid, Zelda or Mario game and I'm going to scream.
Frankly, Super Mario Galaxy is _vastly_ over-rated (IMHO). I cannot understand why people raved. It was just another 3D mario game. I was very disappointed. Now, my friends like Play and Sports, but outside of that, there is nothing that attracts me to more Wii titles. I'm a sucker, I'll probably buy the next ...

Yes, it would be nice to download the previous generation's games - like Xbox Originals is doing on Xbox LIVE.
But, the idea that Sony is going to let you
That would violate the licenses and copy-protection for the PS2 & PS1 games. What would stop you from loading every game you could borrow or rent?
That is never going to happen.
While I appreciate what gumball is saying, its really not that valuable for two reasons;
A) The machine underwent major hardware fixes already. The heat issues are behind Microsoft, only old hardware has a problem.
B) Old hardware gets fixed for free. So why mod your machine yourself? Just get it fixed for free instead.
And, I concur with BS3. Though I have all three machines, I've never been worried about my Xbox 360. Its never had an issue, and if i...
