Might get steam link to play this on my TV, put my old 360 PC controller to good use finally.
I liked the old MGS games, well haven't played 4 anyway.. Maybe i'll get this later in the year or early next.
If it's using Flash based cards then it doesn't matter if it doesn't have an Optical Disc drive. As other people have said, read speeds and access times are better than Blu-ray.
When i upgraded my PC some months back i didn't know my new mobo didn't have an IDE port for my DVD rewriter, so i've been without a disc drive for months and had to install Windows 10 from USB. That was quite a lot faster than from disc even though i was still intalling to SS...
If its a hybrid i will be interested, it could make sense since Nintendo said it wont be on par with PS4 power, but we all know handhelds are never equal to beefier consoles. Coming close and being a handheld that outputs to TV could be impressive though if it releases next year.
I'll expect my 980Ti will get a nice boost when Nvidia optimize their drivers. It's just that AMD have obviously worked on theirs for longer.
Also i'll wanna play both Vulkan games like Source 2 engine will use, and UE4 games.. and Unreal engine has always performed better with Nvidia.
Not sure what kind of boost you're expecting, but full fat pascal cards won't come till later. And the early ones will be a tiny bit better than 980 Ti.
980 Ti is needed to keep high fps at 1080p nevermind higher right now, but it slices thru games with my 120hz screen.
1080p/1440p max is the sweet spot for speed and clarity, 4k is still years off.. anyone who goes 4k will need to upgrade every 1-2 years to keep up with new games. That is unless they ...
18fps is fairly decent if it's the avg fps, maybe at least 10 on the minimums? It will be needed too, current high end gpu's should hold 60fps quite well then depending what's on screen.
Erm, they in fact do play better at 120fps since the latency is halved over 60 - if you have a 120hz screen to show the difference. It also makes the controls 2x as responsive.
Unless you mean the game can't be played higher than 60fps regardless, then i didn't know that.
Why would you buy another 970? Better to get a 980Ti, smoother with no micro stutter issues and almost as good frame rates as 2 970's.
I'm interested to find out if DX12 can take advantage of all 6 cores in my 5820k CPU, or if it is just more efficient with more threads on 4 core CPU's. Not seen anything on that yet.
970 should do at least medium settings in the finished game, and 980Ti should do 60fps maxed @ 1080p since it's pretty much as powerful as 2 970's but without the SLI issues.
The silliness reminds me of Tiny Toons, the original Sonic cartoon and a dash of Tazmania.
Or basically any cartoon made in the 90's. Freakazoid, The Mask, Animaniacs etc.. all had that similarity.
I could definitely go for that.

That's funny man, funny considering 4k screens with 120/144hz don't exist yet. Normal 4k already needs 2-3 gpu's just to hold decent fps, i've got a 980Ti coming to run on a 1080p 120hz screen. Performance comes first, resolution second. And right now and for the next few years 1080p and 1440p will be king for speed and a smooth experience.
Quite a few people have moved away from multi gpu to single gpu because of the stuttering...
Heh no chance am i buying any of their next consoles at launch, 3DS was overpriced and so was Wii U. They also have a habit of not having any big games release with the system these days.
It is, i remember reading that isis brainwashes young kids to become suicide bombers. They take advantage of people that are easy to manipulate basically. Sick bunch of life forms.
Why do people even disagree with what we have said? I've seen that happen on news sites, it's obvious some of those sickos are down voting us.
I don't even know how people even manage to fall under the influence of these backward terrorists, must be extremely weak minded at the very least.
I kind of get your point about the arcadey part, i wasn't excited by it either. There was supposed to be tons of enemies crawling all over you, from what they said a long time back. All we get in the trailers is few enemies at once. It didn't really have a Doom feel to it, something is definitely missing.
Tbh it looked a bit boring compared to the carnage in games like Killing Floor 2 where the game swamps players with loads of enemies.
I haven't backed a game before but i really get the urge to back this, i probably will too. Though it doesn't feel quite right if i bought the PC version, i guess i can always stream it to TV. I also need to play the 2nd game, i only had the first on DC.
Well I have a 980Ti and play @ 1080p 120hz, there's still games which need high end cards for that resolution and there will be for a while.
Frame rate is very important in practically all games. Which is why I won't be going 4K any time soon, at least not for gaming anyway. When single high end GPU's can handle the latest games @ 4k & 60fps without dipping to poor performance, i will consider it.
