How do 1080p bluray films look on your TV? Because I've read reviews of some 4K TV's stating that full HD looks good upscaled to 4K, apparently some TV's are a bit better at it than others.
Saying that, scaling isn't always perfect because it uses interpolation so in fact 720p will likely look a bit worse than it actually should be.. CRT's never had this problem because it didn't interpolate any resolution that was set. Shame we take steps forward in t...
Never had a GBA i actually had and still have a GP32, got it for emulation at the time which it was pretty good for. I owned a DS a little while later though which had some great games.
I ran Valve's VR test on my rig and got a score of 11 with no dips in the line graph but that was with a 980 Ti.
I'm not really sure I'll end up splashing out for a VR headset tbh, a decent PC is already kinda my limit money wise for high frame rates. Think I'd rather buy a new monitor or new GPU when they come out instead.
My problem with VR is that it seems it will be suited to more of a mini game experience rather than multiple AAA games be...
Never played much of the Halo games i had at the time, had the first and 3rd, thought they were ok but nothing special compared to what was available on PC.
Personally i prefer Valve FPS games, but each to their own.
It's hardly bold, it's natural progression. Things would be a lot further ahead by now if so much money wasn't wasted on war and stuff too.
Yet i got 2 disagree votes for stating the truth, you cannot disable motion controls in the game completely because some parts require it. So they are mandatory..
I was also looking forward to Star Fox Zero on the Wii u until i found out it has mandatory motion controls, it also put many others off.. So if this is true for the NX i have just lost much interest, still want to see what it's like though.
I don't really get the point since Freeman is a mute in the games, wouldn't make much sense.. Still it would be great if made right.
AMD did well there, but people with a 980Ti have little to worry about.. benchmarks show it just as good or better than Fury x, well the overclocked versions anyway, shows it can brute force it with its power.
People with decent PC's don't have much to worry about, those recommended specs are pretty much mid range anyway.
I am going to be extremely disappointed (again) if no L4D3 at E3.
Doesn't bother me, everything i want is on Steam anyways.
Dragons trap, great game.. i loved Monster World on the Megadrive though. Will get this at some point.
I never got that far either, i found it quite a lot more difficult than Theme Park, which is odd considering it was made by the same people. This was a game i got with my first PC that came bundled with some others like PGA tour golf, need for speed 2 and fifa 98 in a big fat jewel case.
"Just around the corner" literally means very soon, consoles are around quite a while before new ones spring up, that is if you put them in comparison to new GPU releases on PC at least. That is to say 1-2 years later a new GPU is usually a worthy upgrade.
You can to a certain extent build a fairly decent one for cheap.. Digital Foundry has shown this before, though i myself always go for the higher end stuff before diminishing returns kicks in, i don't bother going to extremes spending silly money, for instance 980Ti makes much more sense over a Titan x.
I only paid about £55 for my Win7 retail disc when it was a pre-order.. the license carries over to Win10, so it's able to be installed on new hardware all the time and doesn't have the restrictions of oem where it's tied to your hardware/mobo. But if you can get oem for cheap then yeah it's a good deal.
970 and 390 are not overkill for 1080p at all, having strong hardware ensures that the FPS will stay up when a lot of stuff is happening on screen, with weaker mid/lower end cards it will bog down quite a bit. It's pretty much essential if you have a 120/144hz screen as well to keep things smooth.
Agreed, take SA2 and fix the issues with the camera & highly polish it up.. Put what the fans wanted: more action stages with Sonic & Shadow and a bit less of the other type.
I'm a bit curious to know if online play works across the Nintendo Network through the emulator, i heard it worked for the Wii and Mario Kart.
Progress is coming really fast with this emu and it's probably not even fully optimised yet.
