Left 4 Dead is a much better made game anyway
Dude, halo is rubbish.. when i got an Xbox in 2002 i had it bundled with Halo and MGS2 i got bored of halo in like an hour or 2 and never played it again, MGS2 however was great. I ended up chipping it and DL'ing games like Panzer dragoon Orta and Simpsons hit and run and burning them to DVD, good times.
At that time i had like 256k broadband and also had Soldier of Fortune 2 on PC which blew Halo away, purely for the fun factor that it was an awesome online game.
...
Well for me this could be good news, i like MS but all the Xbox has to offer are mainly FPS games which are much better on PC..
and they are wasting devs like Rare by not letting them make great games like Conker or anything.
So i may just yet choose PS4 instead, at least the online is free like it should be. MS may have IllumiRoom or whatever but it doesn't look half as good as the Oculus Rift coming to PC which promises proper full VR experience with he...
Nice, can't wait for the inevitable nude patch once Vita is hacked.
clicked for the anime boobs
this game looked like crap, i'm surprised anyone is interested in Halo on PC when we have much better series like Half Life or Left 4 Dead.
Which Oculus Rift is going to have on PC.. and have VR built into the goggles.. and soon, not in 4-5 years..
I have to admit, Microsoft are not using the developers they have to their fullest.. whatever happened to funny adventure games? lately it seems Xbox is all about FPS games and not much more, which is no good to me because i honestly enjoy FPS games on PC but not console since the 64 days. for fun and performance PC is best for those games and some others.
I might look toward PS4 if it has some cool adventure games similar to Banjo Kazooie etc.. like you can't get on PC. ...
My laptop has a 5870M in it, pretty sure it's more powerful than the mid end cards they will be using in the consoles.. but then it's not much a surprise.
My desktop has the 5870 in it which is even more powerful than the mobile version.. probably walk all over these consoles.
On my laptop i can play Black Mesa full settings 1080P and the most it drops to is around 40FPS and is usually a nice 60+. Very good for a laptop, but i doubt consoles will han...
John Carmack said Doom 4 will run only 30FPS on consoles, 60 on PC.
So it already looks like PC is ahead.. but that's nothing new.
Pokemon? i played it before and couldn't see what the fuss was about, pretty boring actually. Custom Robo arena on DS was good though, at least you actually control your fights.
Not really sure why anyone would want this, i do own some First 4 Figures and Gaming heads statues however.. but they are much better in my opinion.
Also i'm not sure what the fuss is over Dead Island, i bought that on Steam and only played it for a little bit before realizing it was making me feel dizzy and ill, stupid bloom effects and swaying camera.. very poor.
Left 4 Dead is a much better series.
Consoles need to be like the 64 days, Conker, Banjo Kazooie etc..
nowadays you can get most of the games consoles have on PC and are better.
Plus Xbox has way too many FPS titles.. and those are again much better performance and control wise on PC.
Guess you don't realise the importance of Frame rates. The current sweet spot is 1920x1080 for pure speed/quality of PC games.
For a device like this to run games at the resolution it does is good, you don't want games running like crap and at 20-30 fps.. you need as close to 60 or a constant 60 for buttery smooth play.
Besides you act as if such a resolution is bad, it is not at all.. if you want to play slideshows though be my guest.
Well, most important for this console is that it supports all next gen engines that will run on the next Xbox and Playstation.
John Carmack said Doom 4 will only run at 30FPS on next gen consoles, 60 on PC, if that's true does that mean Wii U won't even be able to run it? or will they have to lower the graphics a lot?.
or melted in it.
I love windows but MS screw people over with XBL, i mean paying to play online? seriously? it's a big slap in the face when us PC gamers have awesome free services like Steam.
Consoles are rather behind in this respect, by now you'd think they would have a fair size hard drive at least 256gb and let you install your games completely instead of disc loading.
Couldn't hurt to put a small SSD in them either.
PC still doesn't need bluray for games as you just install and forget with a DVD since thhe files are decompressed to HDD.
Console users fail to understand that PC also gets exclusives. Killing Floor is a good example of a very fun co-op game. also services like Steam are free unlike XBL. PC games are also always at least £10 cheaper than on consoles.
Framerate is better on PC if you have a good mid-high end vid card.
These days everything is better on PC, i mean consoles are ok but i feel they are nothing like they used to be when you had games like Banjo kazooie and Conker...
Meh, i hope that doesn't mean more stuck up girls in multiplayer games..
