You can't use the Sega argument here with the Wii U, Dreamcast was ahead of it's time for at least a year and then some. games were much better looking than N64 and it had plenty of perfect and better arcade ports as well as a handful of very good exclusives.
Wii U is only a bit better than last gen which started a long time ago, so it's a completely different kettle of fish here. Sega had to go into developing software because the hype of PS2 killed off the DC, n...
Streets of Rage / Final Fight style games, regular fighting games i find are stale and repetitive now.
Also Desert Strike, Road Rash or it's almost exact copy but with other vehicles - ESPN Xtreme Games (PS1)
So many great games that could be brought back and have online Co-op etc.
Except that Valve make the very best and most fun FPS games.
Smash Bros is definitely overrated, i rented the 64 game and honestly didn't like it, bought the Wii version.. barely played it, it gets boring extremely fast. They should bring back games like Streets Of Rage, at least they are nowhere near as repetitive.
Needless to say Mario party 1 on the 64 was much more fun.
Halo is extremely overrated. The great GTA's were San Andreas, Vice City, Vice City Stories.
San Andreas was most fun, 3 was boring as shit.. IV was dull and boring.
Glad half life isn't listed, that would be a major fail.
PC Ftw.
Are you serious? a high end card is NOT overkill for 1080P. But i won't call this a high end card, even though it can be classed as such.. it's just a grossly overpriced rip off before the 700 series.
The only slight brightside to this card is not getting any micro stutter because it's a single card.
But if you want to keep 60+fps at 1080P you always need a high end card, which is why i'll be getting a GTX 780 or even 790 (if needed). Keeping ...
Have to agree with you, don't listen to people that say a high end card for some games or even a dual card is overkill for 1080P.
But the part i don't agree with is getting this card, it is honestly a rip off card like the Mars cards that have been released in the past. it's really stop-gap cash grab and nothing more. In June the 700 series will come out and obliterate this card completely and be a LOT cheaper. I know people can say you can wait forever, but this ...
it's a shame Wii U isn't a bit more powerful, but as long as it can run new engines at a lower detail setting i can't see it being a problem. One problem i do see though is pricing, if there are multiplat games on Wii U with downgraded graphics i don't think it would be fair to set the price the same as the other consoles, it should be cheaper.
Glad it's not stuck on my Steam list.
if you want a proper fun Co-op game that is well deserving of it's score try Killing Floor 72/100 metacritic.
Also Left 4 Dead 2.. Well Colonial marines failed and i have been waiting years for it.. next up, Doom 4!.. hope ID make it work, then it's back to Quake 1 style in Quake 5.
Maybe, but the person who added this article is a dumb ass with the "Dat cel-shaded look. I would totally play this. Isn't the Source engine dated enough to run on a 3DS?" statement.
Source has been updated constantly, it will never run on the 3DS, or if it did at an extremely low framerate. I wish people knew what they were talking about before they post stuff.
Don't see a point personally, uber excited for HL3/L4D3/Portal 3 on PC though.
That's what the problem with the 360 is, too many generic FPS games.
if you want good shooters you need to have a decent PC.
Anyone taking bets that the Wii U version may be cancelled in favor of bad reviews?.
I was looking forward to this for years.. can't believe it failed, i was hoping something similar to L4D quality & fun.
Looks like i'll be sticking with Killing Floor and L4D2 at least until Doom 4 and Half Life 3.. ugh i hope Doom 4 isn't a failure.
I was hoping as good as L4D, but it looks like it aint very good.
My best Co-op games are currently Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor.. both very good and fun games. Both games have free updates and the only DLC you can buy for Killing Floor are weapons or characters, either way it does not affect other people from playing like the b.s extra mode they are bringing out for this game that you need to pay for.
Thankful for Tripwire and Valve, both very good dev...
it only runs android games and streams PC stuff right?, i don't see a point.. personally i'll stick with my Vita and 3DS. I prefer full long games, not bite size ones.
Meh, avoid these games like the plague. They run like crap on PC's when they are released, they take roughly 2-3 years for a new high end graphics card to be playable 60+fps @ 1080p.
They are all show and little gameplay.
Now Half Life on the other hand, much better series.. can't wait to see what Source 2 is like for physics/graphics and gameplay!
Unless Vsync is enabled you will still get tearing because of the 60hz.
Though i noticed since i got a new 120hz monitor it isn't really needed, things are a lot smoother for my PC games.
San Andreas is the best, especially multiplayer with 50-100 players on PC.
Hope R* won't screw up the multi on V like they did with IV.
Well i would say console ones were AGES ago, they have the same thing over and over like Halo and COD.
Thankfully we have Valve working on Source engine 2 which will be awesome, and i'm hoping Doom 4 is like the originals but with awesome co-op.
Can't wait for the new gen PC shooters, most are overrated.
