I don't actually see any PlayStation gamers caring about this, all I see is other platform fanboys calling out Sony over it.
I actually think the other platform players want cross play with the PS4 more than anyone, so they have someone to play with.
None of these articles ever seem to mention the fact that you can cross play with PC and PS4 on fortnite, just not on the other consoles. It's not the perfect solution but it's not as blunt as people make it out to be. Sony do allow cross play.
The best surprise? It was damn near the only surprise.
But yeah it actually looks pretty awesome.
Everyone went to Fortnite, certainly seems that way if you look on YouTube, literally every youtuber plays fortnite now.

As long as its not that shitty remake from a few years ago. I'm old enough to have played and loved the original and that remake they did was guff.
I'm 37 and live it too, I also play it with my son who is 7. It's not for kids, it just happens to also be accessible for kids.
Also good that it's cross platform I can play on the PC while he's on the PS4 and be in the same team.
There was also Bad Company 2 Vietnam, which was awesome.
I had a pile of shame. I eventually just decided to write it off. It was stopping me enjoying games as I kept thinking I had to play other games. And I just decided enough was enough. No more. I blame steam sales! Now if I don't want a game enough to buy it on day one, I just don't buy it. Simple, and yes perhaps I will miss some gems. But it let's me enjoy the games I do really want to play and play them properly.

Agreed, I've been in a few first corner pile ups but mostly the racing has been surprisingly clean. Far better than in the closed beta!
From the start it reminds me of Motorstorm Pacific Rift, but not even as good.
Having been in the beta I can assure you it is far more than you think. I don't know about how deep the career mode will be but I probably won't be touching it anyway. Once you start racing online against quality opposition the thought of racing for nothing against AI opponents doesn't make any sense. Online racing, when it's well matched, is amazing.

Can't remember the total but there's at least 3 who are not only real life race winners but championship winners.
I actually like PC2, but having watched the developer sessions on twitch and seen some interviews with them, they come across as a shower of douchebags. Kinda puts you off the game a bit when you think the developers are knob ends.
Anyway until they fix their own game on PC they can keep their mouth shut about other people's games.

I'm definitely no SJW, I mean I'll happily fu*k a hooker in GTA and then gun her down for my money back once she gets out the car. But even I think this is a bit tasteless.
The beta was a crash fest at turn one at first, the ranking system quickly separated the crash test dummies from the racers. By the end of the beta, provided you had a decent ranking, the racing was brilliant.
PCars2 is good, I have it on PC, not got VR so can't comment on that. But Assetto Corsa still pisses all over it.
PC2 has loads more content than any other game/sim but a vast majority of the cars are crap that no one will ever want to drive. It's circuit list is by far its biggest strength but even then it has a lot of filler, some really crap tracks in there and some really good ones missing.
The graphics in PC2 are also fairly poor imho GTsport looks much better. ...
The way I see it, it's just another game mode. Just like TDM, capture the flag, domination/conquest. I have no issue with every game having it just like I have no issue with every game having any other multiplayer mode. I just hope all the fuss dies down soon enough so we can just get on with playing.
