No way they're going to completely omit more than half of the console market for a game that big. It might be a timed exclusive or something but a MS exclusive would be downright foolish.
Same here. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll do an open beta or something before launch.
Agreed. It needs to be dialed back a lot. GTA 3 is unplayable when it rains.
It's like they took the best of every Souls and added the platforming lessons they learned from Sekiro while adding in even more layers of crafting and open world design. This game is going to be amazing!
Oh thank God. Now I can rest easy.
This game looks amazing. Soulsborne but with better platforming and more exploration and options to complete levels/dungeons?
Sign me up.
Sekiro was a weaker experience and had much less replay value than any Souls or Bloodborne. I'm glad Elden Ring resembles the latter. They're better games.
I cannot wait. This game looks like a potential best Souls ever.
Sekiro was unfairly hard at times mainly due to the camera wall collisions. Beat it a couple times and liked it, but IMO it's the weakest Soulslike FS game.
As far as shooters go it feels insanely generic. The controls don't feel super tight and it has that familiar sort of airy, unpolished Bethesda 1st person control feel.
So far there's nothing really crazy innovative that it does gameplay-wise. I don't know what's baffling about that. It's not great and not terrible; just very middle of the road.
Eh, based on my limited experience so far I'd call $15 or 20 a steal. $40 is pretty average.
I grabbed Deathloop yesterday. So far it's pretty generic. Not a fan of the writing or any of the characters yet (I'm probably just going to end up muting the voice volume and leaving subs on), and the gameplay seems a little hollow. Neat concept though and hoping it improves as it goes.
People can have different opinions than you. A lot of us had major complaints with the game and wanted less realism with more fun. If a game's popularity is what matters Fortnite's thataway.
Agreed. They focused so much on realism that the game was rarely fun. It was a chore to control too.
Clunky controls, generic missions, same Rockstar experience we've gotten since GTA IV, nearly infinite fetch quests and checklists...
If you haven't played many games it might be the most impressive game ever. From where I sit it was an overblown, over-hyped slog that focused everything on realism and forgot about fun.
...but hey, the horses pissed constantly and some of the side missions were entertaining, so not a total bust.
So stunning. So brave.
Agreed.
I'm not a huge fan of MVs but loved Salt and Sanctuary and cannot wait for Salt and Sacrifice.
If they overhaul the graphics and everything I'll gladly give it another go.
Expensive games don't pay for themselves. Folks can downvote all they want but cutting out 50%-plus of your potential market is a stupid, stupid move that they're not going to do.
