um, duh?
for the first time in gaming history, consoles are actually capable of playing PC games nearly identical to the PC version, and for a much more affordable price.
take Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 for example, i was looking at some screenshots people were posting on the Unreal forums; screenshots taken from their version of the game.
some of the screenshots were of maxed out settings (from a handful of users), but *MOST of the screenshots...
*HOW MUCH do you think this machine is going to cost? (if it's even *REAL, something i'm skeptical about, but you never know with Microsoft. or *ANY big company nowadays)
that these are *THIRD party developers making these statements, right?
Sony did promise a lot of stuff (and 4D isn't what you seem to think it is; it's the passing of time in real time. there's a video on YouTube somewhere demonstrating this, i think. look it up. the PS3, and probably the 360, are capable of doing this), but these aren't Sony guys saying they're only tapping a small percentage of the PS3's power.
the developers said the same thing about the PS2 w...
Uncharteds, Ratchets, and Unreals is it going to take before the retarded fanboys accept that the Playstation 3 is a powerful console?
so, from my understanding, when a developer is talking sh*t about the PS3 (ie, Gabe Newell from Valve), the haters agree and nod saying, "that's right! PS3 is teh suck!"
but when developers finally get their heads out of their @sses and actually *LEARN the console, and realize that it's quite the capable machine, the hat...
that not everybody has the same gaming tastes.
personally, i'd buy GTAIV, Killzone 2, *AND Little Big Planet if they were actually released in the same month.
*BUT, there are a *LOT of gamers that *AREN'T GTA fans. or Killzone fans, or Little Big Planet fans.
those people wouldn't care if GTA, Killzone, or Little Big Planet came out the same day.
not all of us like the same things. this is what leads to the ridiculous flame wars in ...
considering that Haze was originally supposed to come out in, like November of *LAST year, it wouldn't surprise me if it came out January 15.
after all, most games are delayed because of things like bugs.
chances are, Haze was in the bug-testing phase, they found a few game-breaker bugs (i was in game-testing for three years, and Sony has a pretty harsh Technical Requirements, though stuff does get through), and it probably failed it's TRC, and got delayed until ...
as much as i love the old hats like Final Fantasy, DMC, and Metal Gear, the most anticipated games on my list this year are new IPs.
Little Big Planet, Home, Heavy Rain, LA Noire, White Knight Story, and especially Infamous are in my top must get list. not to mention multi-platform titles like Prototype and Dark Sector (low on my list, however).
it's a no brainer i'll pick up DMC4, MGS4, GTAIV, and FFXIII, but i try and pimp the new ones more. what a lot of gamer...

because a lot of the games people are talking about on the DS are, once again, Nintendo franchises.
New Super Mario Bros, Phantom Hourglass, Animal Crossing, Metroid, etc, it's the same ol' same ol', with a few exceptions (as there are *ALWAYS exceptions), like the Castlevania games (which, honestly, i don't here a lot of folks talking about).
the DS is in a better state than the Wii, but it still has that stigma attached to it as being a "Nintendo house&quo...
there's no way my mom would have found this funny in the least. and for a few reasons:
1.) the parents here searched all over for the Wii for a Christmas gift. they finally located it, and paid 250 pounds for it.
2.) since when is it ok for a kid to *PEE on something when he's upset about not getting his way? 6 years old or not, peeing is for the bathroom.
my mom would have tanned my hide if i pissed on my Wii that we *JUST GOT for Christmas, just ...
when a great game like Zack and Wiki get ignored by Nintendo fans, because, well, they're Nintendo fans, and if it ain't made by Nintendo, then they aren't buying it on their system.
i mean, it wouldn't *HURT to try something that *DOESN'T have "Mario", "Zelda", or "Metroid" in the title, you know.
and people wonder why more 3rd parties don't support Nintendo consoles. it happened with the Nintendo 64, it happened with the Gamecube, ...
but my opinion of an "intense" gunfight, was not flipping around in the air, and letting auto-targeting do the work for me.
don't get me wrong, i *LOVE both Legend and Anniversary, but i think Uncharted is it's better.
the motorbike levels in Legend weren't very well done, and had spotty controls.
Uncharted has one jeep level, and it's on rails (Elena is driving, while Nathan shoots). it's beautiful and fun.
there are about...
my must have list for 2008 (in no particular order):
Devil May Cry 4
Grand Theft Auto 4
Metal Gear Solid 4
lots of fours...

Blu Ray is kicking so much @ss market-wise, that instead of the old flame wars of "this HD DVD player is better than this Blu Ray player," we get "well, *THIS Blu Ray player is better than *THAT Blu Ray player."
Blu Ray is winning this format war, when it's biggest competition is itself.
i own about 9 or 10 Blu Ray movies, and about 9 or 10 PS3 games.
i bought my PS3 primarily for games, but i'm not going to ignore it's Blu Ray ...
exclusives:
Resistance
Motorstorm
Virtua Fighter 5
Lair (it's not my fault i was too busy enjoying the game to nitpick the sh*t out of it. not perfect, but a solid 7/10. if they release a patch for analog stick controls, add another 1 to 1.5 points to the game)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Warhawk
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
Ratchet and Clank Future
Uncharted
Unreal Tournament 3
multi-platform:
The Darkness

actually says "CORAL ESSEX" but when you knock away the "C" and the "ES" you get "ORAL SEX"
while i agree that parents here in America are the epitome of stupid, it's just a video of parents having fun with their kid. i highly doubt that because the kid will grow up to be a deviant.
chances are, the little sh*t was one anyway (i remember what the kids were like when i was 10, and they were *EVIL).
me and my ...
the "dude raider" concept started way before Lara Croft and Tomb Raider.
it was a little film from the *EIGHTIES called Raiders of the Lost Ark. maybe you've heard of it?
Lara Croft was often called the "female Indiana Jones," as she was a exotic locale spelunking adventurer.
Nathan Drake has more in common with Indiana than Lara, personality wise.
the gameplay of Uncharted is also *INFINITELY more fast paced and ...
but i'll see if i can scrounge it up for you.
*EDIT - here's one brief comment, but there are more: http://kotaku.com/gaming/ko...
i also agree that Metal Gear Solid is a Playstation series.
Kojima has stated that numerous times.
"The Metal Gear *SOLID (emphasis mine) series was born on the Playstation consoles, and I'd like it to die on the Playstation consoles."
to paraphrase a Kojima comment from a little while back.
the Solid series is Playstation.
who's to say that, after Kojima is finished with 4, and moves on, that Konami won't ma...
Beyond Good and Evil
and a sequel to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross
ok, maybe *THREE:
a *TRUE sequel to Castlevania Symphony of the Night, or a remake of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse, with Symphony of the Night style elements (with the option to play the original, unaltered version)
