in engine doesn't mean anything when the engine runs on pc and was probably shown on an nvidia 2080ti.
It didn't even show any gameplay, but even when they have shown gameplay it gets downgraded.

Even with the horrible reveal, the xbox one was selling at a faster rate than the 360 at first. Xbox could not keep up with the ps4's games library. Every year just got worse and after a while even die hard xbox people were on playstation. You know it's bad when the xbox podcast people were all playing ps4.
MAC is a closed platform, just like xbox

If people don't buy their consoles, how will they continue to stay in business? Unless you're Microsoft with endless amounts of money. Obviously you're intersted in playing these exclusive games or you wouldn't be complaining, but a lot of these games wouldn't even exist without playstation.

PS4 was fine. It was the xbox one that was a failure of a console. PS4 has great looking games and their exclusives look a gen ahead compared to xbox. I agree that charging for online play sucks, but it was kind of expected since console gamers were so accepting of it. They will be using m2 nvme ssd (possibly the pcie version). It will help with loading things to memory (loading times), but nvme is not faster than ram. Games already load things to memory and nvme is already available on pc. It will be a huge difference coming from 5400rpm hdd though.
Gamepass is genius. They achieved what they wanted to at the start of the gen by calling it gamepass. Can't borrow games, always online, no used game sales, etc.
SONY isn't trying to shove ps now down our throats, hell they hardly even talk about it.
They can optimize it as much as they want. (I'm pretty sre they have been doing that) Still has to go through the network and will have lag. Maybe slow moving games or 2d games can work well but fast paced multiplayer games will not work well, but gaas type games tend to be mp focused games.
It will mostly affect loading times.
