Packaging with Hot Shots is a lot better than with Talladega something or other.
We all know Live is great, so kudos if Sony does the same thing but adds in its own style and features.
Q.
Linking to games, the 360 has a feature to allow music in the HDD and network to be played back as game BGM.
Incase you didn't know, BGM stands for Background Music.

PS3 already has such function in the system software. It is up to the game developers to use the function. Same goes for pictures and videos.
And they say it can be done. It's in the developers hands now.

I didn't know this. And all this time I thought it was Sony's fault. Come on developers, use this function.
The digging showed that Immersion isn't paying MS becasue of the deal they made with Sony. Person A agrees to pay Person B so much money if they also sell to Person C. Person A sells to C, but doesn't pay Person B. That doesn't mean Person C is screwed.
Mods really added to the game, so I hope MS does eventually allow it.
I don't see the big deal about timed exclusives. I didn't mind waiting for Oblivion to come out on the PS3, but I guess some poeple do really hate the wait. However, MS not allowing user created mods is whats gona make me get the PS3 version. I can understand MS's point of view, but the mods were one of the things I always liked in the series so I'll be getting the PS3 version.
You're right. There is no positive spin. The 360 has got something that the PS3 wont for one of the biggest games of the year. But what does that have to do with Blu-Ray? It has got nothing to do with format. It's all because MS PAID for the exclusive downloadable content. 50 million will surely be worth it, if the content is good, not just like 1 extra mission or something. But I'm sure Rockstar will deliver quality downloadable content. I don't get why you think PS3 owners can't hav...
Because if its anything like the Wii Controller's battery life, I wouldn't even bother getting it.
So if Rockstar wanted to make more money, then they could do that by also releasing content on PSN and charging PS3 gamers. They would make more money that way. Like I said, good news for MS because they have something exclusive for one of the biggest games coming. I just don't see how Rockstar benefits from this because they'll be missing out on money by not giving the option to PS3 customers to also download.
But I don't understand it from Rockstar's POV. Wouldn't they want to release content on PSN also? It's just strange news to me.
While I doubt the MGS detail, there is still a chance. But Bungie working a new game, a new Crimson Skies, Gears of War 2, Star Wars Battlefront 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Dead Rising 2, I can't wait. The rest is just icing on the cake. Sony really does need to impress the crowd to combat this lineup.
Not something that is obvious. If Sony wants to really steal the spotlight at E3, this is what to do. 1) Announce PSP Slim, if there really is one, and I do hope there is. 2) Announce PS3 price cuts. 3) Playable Killzone 2 demo (that lives up to hype). 4) More info about Home that no one has heard before. 5) Shocking new footage of an untitled game (I'm sure both Sony and MS have a couple secrets in developement). 6) Updated PS3 firmware that allows you to have a picture as a background...
why this is just becoming a big news topic now. The game debuted in September for States and Japan, and then in Europe a couple months ago. Did the church seriously just notice the game a week ago?
It does quote a Sony dev team, so I understand about being weary as of to what they have to say. However, it does also quote a recent article on the Dr. Dobb's webpage, a much more credible source of information. There is an actual link in on the word "report" for anyone who missed it to take you to the Dr. Dobb's anaylsis. It is much more informative and goes in to all the techinical goodness that you may be interested in.
Before I talk about that though, the Sony dev tea...
Every week there's a change in who is "winning". I think the only numbers we can trust though is NPD ones though, or an independant group with no preference. Not that the numbers HD-DVD group are saying is wrong, but its groups like this and the Blu-Ray group that twist numbers for their stance. Example, I remember a local politican running for something or other and he was talking about wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle. Where I live you don't have to, but some people ...
that if they took such offense to the game they wouldn't want money earned by it.
A lot of xbots love to say "Wait Beyond". I love my 360, but really guyz, we had to wait a long f'n time before we had good games come out. What was the first decent 360 game that came out? Dead Rising? The fact is the 360 took just as long to have decent games come out. Hell, at least the PS3 had one good launch game. The 360 had crap on its debut. Of course its all different now. Gears, Lost Planet, Guitar Hero II, Dead Rising, and more. But all you MS fanboys need to sto...
I was hoping for an actual in-depth anaylsis of each build of the systems, but it just turned out to be a blog-style opinion.
But the graphics look like PS2.
