Sony does need to solidify their software lineup, but the hardware is top quality.
I'm sure Sony would love this, and having a solid exclusive can do them nothing but good. But as long as it doesn't become a 360 exclusive Sony should be happy.
Do you even own ANY system? I seriously doubt it. I also seriously doubt that you have any friends, relationships, a job, ... basically I doubt you have a life. The coverage sounds like it will be solid. And on a side note, who else is sick of the xbots, especially Cyber Sentinel who don't give Sony any break. They're all crying that MS already did this, but you damn well know that if Sony hadn't done this they'd all be ripping on Sony because of it. Fanboys are disgusting because regardless of what they're hated company does they will always see it in a negative light.
I remember reading an article on why the PS3 didn't have online multiplayer and they said lag would hamper it too much. They seemed pretty firm about it too. MS must've talked a looong time to convince em, but regardless it is indeed a big plus. If I hadn't already got it for the PS3 I'd wait to get it for the 360. All the same, I'm sure Sony will talk to SEGA and try to get them to include online multiplayer in a update. Whether that happens or not is anyone's guess.
That sucks. Good thing I have the 360 too then.
But of course we can all have different opinions. Where was Onimusha? Final Fantasy 12 number 8? No MGS 1? Where the f was Diablo. No Sonic game what so ever? Not even Sonic CD? Come on.

I didn't have a problem with Forza 2, but that's not the point. Whether the game caused problems or not I think it was childish of Microsoft to remove the thread. With all the bad press Sony gets you'd think MS would be above this one forum that spoke negative of them.
But you really, really, really have to look close at it. It is practically identical for both in my opinion. If anything I think the 360 shots look a little more smooth, but if I were to play it on either system I honestly wouldn't notice a difference. Based on these screen shots that is.
I haven't had any problems with Forza 2.
So there is no need for me to worry which is better. Both will probable end up being amazing.
If Live wasn't so good and there weren't a good library of games out for it, the 360 would fail. Those two things make it worth while to own a 360, but 30%?! For any other peice of hardware, that just wouldn't cut it, unless maybe it was super cheap, but 400 is still a hefty tag for a 30% that it's going to fail on you. Hopefully the new heat sinks help.

Halo 3 does have a big preorder list, but I think you inflated your numbers by a million or two. Either way, I'm pretty sure Pokemon Diamond and Pearl had larger preorder numbers.

The 360 has solid software CURRENTLY and COMING out. Live is outstanding, but as this article mentions they just cut too many corners on the hardware. But like the article says, it doesn't mean death for MS, it just means they've lost their momentum. A bad move on their part for the poor hardware design for sure, but after a long wait, they have finally taken the right approach to their mistake and are stepping up with an extended warrenty and more stable future models of the 360.
