This article is to show that all consoles are selling low now, as they usually are. And Mart, no kidding 360 has a lead. It had a year head start jacka**. You fanboys twist numbers worse then politicians. Seriously, you should consider it as a possible career.
if the cables are what caused the problem.
Sony will most certianly include a second analog stick. I can see them sticking with memory duos. People don't complain about using SD cards for the DS, so memory duos for the PSP will stay. I think its possible that Sony will drop UMD, but more likely that they stick with it.
Issue 115 of PSM, bottom of page 48 has two screenshots. One is a shot straight from Advent Children. The other is a running of the Final Fantasy VII Technical Demo (the one used to show off the PS) using the White Engine being developed by Square-Enix. It looks damn near identical in quality. Now it was just running a demo with no gameplay, but they've been developing this Engine since they had the Dev Kits. If any game will give Gears of War a run for its money graphically, this will be the...
My exact thoughts. The other ones look so so to me, but those 3 look great.
We should've known Unreal would come to the 360. It's a good game though, but I wonder how well it will do going up against Halo. Also just a thought, wouldn't it be cool if the online multiplayer was cross platform. Just imagine, Team Sony Fanboys vs Team 360 Fanboys in a deathmatch. What's this, Team PC comes out of nowhere and pwns them all. Lol, it would certainly add another level of trash talk to the field. Seriously, couldn't it be done?
But how much slower? If I had to wait an extra 5-10 seconds, then it really wouldn't matter to me. I don't think this is good or bad. It's just dealing with the nature of the beast. It's like coding on C++ or Java. You can do the same things on both but the code is different. (It's not a perfect example, but you get the idea). If Blu-Ray has the space, use it to make it load faster. I'd rather see more gameplay, but duplicate select data doesn't take up that much space. Some people need to r...
Final Fantasy is the best in my opinion, and one of the best series considered by others and the industry. This game will be great. Besides, I like how Square-Enix is generally good with their release dates. They didn't say mid 07 or end of 07, they're saying sometime in 08. It'll be well worth the wait. PS3 owners will have Motostorm, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Lair, GTA IV(360 will too) and MGS4 in the meantime. It'll be a good year for the PS3.
Sony has shipped 2 mill PS3s, but not all sold, so lets just say 1.5 mill PS3s. 5 Million games, that would make 3.3 games per PS3 owner, not 7. I can believe that.
Sorry Nice Cuppa, I didn't mean to reply to your post.
paying for Live because it is worth every penny. But PSN is also good. Of course Live is better. It's MS people, they might as well own the internet. MS makes it so their games have online capabilites, its a requirement for development on their system, and its a good strategy. And you really cant rag on the PS3 for not having as many users or games that support it because its only been out for 2 months now. Of course Live is going to have more users when its been out for a year and two month...
Attach rate isn't the only stat people. Yes, its 1.5 for the PS3, but that doesn't account for every game sold, just those bought along with the PS3. Many people only got one or two games at launch. Really, if you're spending 600 for a system, an extra controller and warentee maybe, hdmi cables, thats close to 800. If you could afford all that, I'm not sure many could also afford buying every game they want with it. I myself could only afford to get one game along with it at launch, then I go...
The PS2 was the best selling system of all time. I can understand people questioning the PS3 at the moment, but the PS2? Come on. Yes they made promises, outlandish ones, and if you believed them, dumb on your part. Don't believe an PR from the company because it's their job to make their product sound godly. Take what you hear with a grain of salt.
That's stretching it, but I could believe in the 4's. Also, you cant just look at attach rate. I myself only got Resistance with my PS3 at launch, but I got 3 more later on.
That's a good question, I'd like to know the same.
I can't get enough Final Fantasy.
I do think the same thing about Blu Ray and HD-DVD. I prefer Blu-Ray because I think it gives more freedom for developers than DVD, but I don't think it's going to be a major factor, negative or positive. However, I can see developers eventually (I know, Sony making the consumer wait again) using the extra space to their advantage.
It just said if you don't use Sony components. I believe that means, don't pop open your system and mod it. That's the same policy as MS. I really don't think this meant component cables. Now, if your system breaks, you have to return those cables along with the rest of the stuff in the box, so that might be what this guy is saying. I know a lot of people just throw that stuff out. I always keep em just incase it breaks down later on.
First off, this whole PVR/Tivo/IPTV appeals to a small amount of gamers. It wont decide this generation of consule wars. It'll play a bigger role in the next generation, so it's good to see that MS is really working on it, and that Sony's current technology is also capable.
Secondly, MS fanboys need to realize that some people just don't want a 360, and want a PS3 instead. Whatever that reason may be, this article is for those people. If you got a 360, props, but you don't need...
Orange all the way.
All systems sell slow now.
