My favourite showing so far. This is what Assassins Creed should have progressed to by now! Since AC1 I've been waiting to see Desmond in the modern day. This is exactly what I wanted.
Assassins Creed III was okay. Not too fond of the setting and the combat looks the same, too easy. Watch Dogs looks fresh and exciting, with amazing graphics.
Didn't realise Ubisoft make so many great games. Easily the best conference so far.

I agree, although it wasn't really a big problem for me. Would be awesome if you could turn off the hud and use other methods to gauge what level your health is at. Like a slumped Joel (is that his name?), slightly bloodied/blurry screen, or less steady aiming. This would add a new element of using your medipacs wisely. Would also be cool keeping track of how many bullets you've got without a hud.
Agree. Except from Tomb Raider kicking Last of Us gameplay wise. I feel like every game is action oriented with regen health so it was interesting to see the survival gameplay shown in the Last of Us.
Favourite showings for me so far are Watch Dogs, TLoU and Beyond in that order. The ones which aren't just shooting everything in sight.
Quantic Dream's Beyond was first on stage. No gameplay but really interesting trailer.
Edit: Unfortunately no but still looks pretty cool. Ellen Page is the lead actress which is pretty cool if you like her.
Overall... pretty underwhelming. Too much Tretton, not enough games. But The Last of Us and Beyond looked fantastic! Last of Us looks like a mature Uncharted with survival thrown in.
First thing that hit me was the graphics, animations and lighting. Then there's the concept - all the tech being linked to each other and the player being able to use that to their advantage; sounds really awesome. As for the gameplay, seems to be elements of stealth and subterfuge and also pretty solid shooting mechanics. And open world.
I was really impressed by it! A little because it's new but mainly the general presentation and concept. AC was a bit of a let down...
I think that was a good point. The keyboard doesn't belong in the living room and a controller doesn't work well for browsing the web.
Sounds good for the three people who own a 360, Kinect, Windows tablet and Windows phone.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
That would rule out a lot of good characters though... like the Big Daddy, X1-Alpha or Lara Croft for example. I'd rather they took advantage of all the good first and third party characters to make the roster bigger and better!
I think the main reason most lead protagonists are SWM is because most developers are SWM. The creators are more likely to create a character which they can relate to.
Glad to see a change though. With this and gay choices in Mass Effect video games seem to be progressing to represent everyone in society, not just the SWM.

Not sure we've seen enough yet to fully say the SSB world is better. The characters in All Stars seem pretty good (including fat princess even though she's a strange choice) and the stages seem alright (Patapon/GOW stage for example).
I think if the next confirmed characters for all stars was Cole, Drake, maybe ninja Raiden with some more inventive stages I'd say the all stars world would just edge it.
But if they don't make stage knockouts it will pro...
I didn't realise there was much hate for the Hitman trailer. I really liked it. And I hate the inclusion of needless sex appeal like lollipop chainsaw. I'm not remotely interested in a game that pushes sex that much.
I can't explain what's different about Hitman's leather clad ladies, maybe it's that the whole game isn't based on them. And also that he treats them equally as brutal as he would any male enemies. Is the problem that he's killing ...
If PS All Stars final build doesn't allow deaths by falling off the stage then I agree. If it does, I'll probably prefer Sony's rip off.

DKC and its sequel are amazing platformers. I would probably have super monkey ball in my list if you can class that as a platformer. Anything with monkeys really...
I'm just being objective. You clearly want these sequels really bad so it's harder for you to be objective.
I don't know what I would do for Timesplitters 4 but the devs or publishers do not have to release the game for me if they don't want to. It would be great if they did, but I wouldn't want to force them to make a game they themselves are not ready to make.
Unless you were donating to them with the understanding they would release the sequels you want,...
4 player couch coop is very rare. I don't think PS3 has any FPS games which fit that bill.
