It actually sold 1 million in less than 2 weeks.....this was the first news I read about GOW sales and I didn't really pay attention to the fact that GOW released on Nov 7th and this news came out on the 21st. There are other articles reporting the same news only they correctly state the 2 weeks timeframe.

I have to admit that this guy seemed a little biased, first off its hard to accept his opinion when he doesn't have the courage to give his name and the company he works for.....I mean I understand that doing so might affect him or his company negatively, but as long as he makes it CLEAR that this is ONLY HIS PERSONAL OPINION, I don't think any reasonable person or Sony can "hate" him or his company for it. Lets see, basicly its just about 2007, so we only have 5 yrs until 2012, so the fact that this guy thinks Sony will sell an average of 22+ million PS3's a year to get over 120 million consoles, makes me wonder about the legitimacy of this entire article.
No I haven't played Zelda, and I'm sure just like the others that its great.....but GOW is just too much fun. Yeah, its short on story, but if you just want a game that you can sit down, pick up the controller and immediately become emmersed in a action packed fun gameplay experience then this is the game for you. Yeah, I thought it was common sense that the stories of PS3 selling for 10,000 were just jokes. Yeah, I don't doubt that there are some hardcore fans that have the finances to pay 1-2k, but anything more than that would probably be a situation with extreme circumstances or some rich guy with money to blow, or maybe his kid just has to have one first....but most rich people make good descisions, have patience and spend their money wisely, so I don't know why anybody wouldn't just wait a month...

UrbanJabroni, I think you make some good points, but IMO I would agree with nicodemus, because I think competition is a big factor in what M$ is doing with the 360.....I'm sure M$ would have created a good product without Sony, but I wouldn't underestimate the fact that M$ made a excellent piece of hardware because they wanted to beat Sony in the console war, and vice versa, thus benefiting all gamers/consumers.

I will agree that game sites usually over-rate games, I guess it wouldn't matter as much if "fans" weren't so interested in numbers....but either way you could look at the that particular game sites average to even things out a bit....if you really care.

Did anyone expect them to all work perfectly?
