Yeah videl and many other Sonyfanboys sound like a broken record everytime theres a "rumour" about 360 getting another PS3 exclusive.....damm, you would think they have learned their lesson by now....they always deny it and then when it turns out to be true they say...."uhm, well it was never a Sony exclusive -we always knew it was coming to 360 the whole time". -hey just a suggestion videl, how about wait and see before you make an idiot out of yourself again or do you j...
..but, speaking for myself, I wasn't trying to make this bad news, but reading the article as is -it called the Target sale a "price drop", however once you read the article it does sound like just a sale....either way though, the point I was making is don't you find it somewhat "interesting" that a major retailer would be offering a sale on "brand new PS3 games" this close to launch? I mean a sale on COD2 or 360 games that have been out for awhile is "norm...
like Americans being a bad influence are the reason why there is so much "hate" in the world today....people develop unfounded stereotypes of others and make judgements that are plain "stooopid" because they don't really know them or the facts. Despite the consequences from what this war has done, America has been trying to accomplish a "good deed" in Iraq, but of course the "critics" and "haters" always see it as a bad thing. It's funny how...
Well uhm, I'm not a big Tekken fan, it seems like this genre is very "stale" these days, yes they look great but the fun factor just isn't the same -actually Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat & Soul Calibur were the only "fighting" games that I really enjoyed. Either way if true this is just another "feather in the 360's cap", but honestly IMO, Tekken isn't that big of a deal -Now if we get some creditable news that MGS4 is coming, then that would be very bad fo...
....can I get some fuel?
yeah from what I hear PS3 has some "goodies" in the PS network, but overall it just doesn't match up to XBL, I mean yeah it costs (atcually you can get it alot cheaper than $50 bucks) but even $50 bucks is well worth it.....its online game related content and functionality is awesome....the time I've spent playing with friends and relatives that are a long ways away back home -hell it pays for itself!
Isn't it too early for price drops on PS3 games....yeah its good for consumers, but it could be related to other issues or maybe I'm over-thinking the whole situation.....hmmm?
Jrocks I think you misunderstood my comments from post #10, I just want to be clear I wasn't referring to PS2 fans/customers that have been enjoying their PS2 over the years, of course I assume alot of them will "upgrade", but I was talking about "new PS2 owners" who brought their console when the PS3 is already out -they are making a conscious decision not to get a PS3 "right now", so I doubt that they are going to change their minds= $$$ ANYTIME SOON.
Simple.....because most people don't go out and buy a brand new PS2 and then turn around next month or even six month later and buy a PS3, remember what I said -"new" PS2 owners.....think about it if old "average joe" decides he wants to get a console and he says "wow I hear Sony's PS2 has some nice games, I'll try the PS2, cause I'm not ready to pay that much for a PS3" -the average joe isn't going to drop money on a PS2 and then buy a PS3 anytime soon, -if he ...
No, common sense will tell you that the PS3 will at the very least be a solid competitor in the console market -if not for "brand loyalty" alone.....hell I honestly do believe Sony was right when they said that they could sell the PS3 without games because like it or not Sony does have a small percentage of "Superfanboys" that will buy a PS3 just for the name alone....actually all consoles have some diehard loyalists, but again I think it fair to say Sony has a larger perc...
Bro, stay in school and you might learn how to say something intelligent.....maybe after you pass the 3rd grade....hell one day you could end up the president, who knows?
Yeah, I see your point, even though I disagree with some of your logic.
Gears is a great game and I think its doing very well at 2+ mil sold about 2 weeks ago, that's over 25% of the user base and growing, when you compare that to almost all of PS2 games sales vs. user base %, so that says alot, but then again Xbox/360 gamers buy more games on average....bottom line is Gears had so much hype and it turned out to be a bad@ss game IMO.
As for Halo 3, of course its what Xbo...
Very interesting read (for those of us who actually read the ENTIRE article) I thought this guy was very knowledgeable, he had alot of creditable data by which he based some of his judgements/opinions, so I may not agree with everything he said but all in all I think this is ONE of the best/fair assessments of both consoles.
I found this quote particularly interesting:
"Sony will lose market share due to increases in popularity from Microsoft and Nintendo. ...
Bro, I've been on this site a long time too and for you to say with a straight face that:
"I came here prior to the 360 launch and as long I'm here, there were never PS3 fans on the 360 section." lol, seriously?
-you have to be joking, I know for a fact that there were many Sonylovers, PS3 fans, ProSony fans, PS3 fanboys or what ever you want to call them on 360 news threads "bashing" its launch games and everything else for a while when it was first...
"Motorstorm is pretty much the best off-road driving simulation ever to grace a console."
-yeah, I was wondering when we would see a better off-road racer than "Excite Bike", lol.
Now for those of you who don't understand sarcasm, that was a joke(a bad one), but in any case....as usual this thread has become another "my Dad can beat up your Dad, article and thats fine I don't expect any less, its just so funny to see all the 360 guys talk tra...
yeah its easy for any of us "gamers" to say HD DVD will win or Blu-ray will win or we like this one over that one, but at the end of the day we dont have anything to lose(or not much, if you paid for one already)....but for a company like Sony who took a huge risk on "one" unproven format the stakes a very high, so maybe, just maybe a compromise would be better than the risk of being left with a "failed format". If Sony was so confident as you are DJ, that Blu-r...
It's amazing to see what's happened to Sony lately. Honestly they should be at least a little worried right now....but instead they are still putting out the "everythings great, and we are pleased with where things stand" message. IMO, its just a bad approach to their current situation, yeah I recognize its early, and yeah PS2 sales are good but if Sony wants to turn things around quicker and be a "strong" contender in the next generation then a better strategy IMO would...
....with my 360, but I've always said that the warranty shoud be longer.....its great that M$ does things like this for their fanbase, now fanboys like EnforcerofSonyTruth can turn off the broken record about M$'s warranty.
Well first of all I only played the demo, so I can't say that I had alot of hands on time with this game....but the demo was enought for me, I mean honestly as much as I love the 360, IMO this game is mediocore at best. I've spent some time in Japan, so I know first hand that they have very different tastes, and in general they don't like FPS's but who knows maybe they are getting into them more and more these days, but if that's the case, -Why they liked Prey so much is a mystery to me, ser...
"For the record, I own no stock in any Linux or any other technology company. No one pays my way on press trips except myself or my publisher, and the only tech toy goodies that I've got, I've paid for myself." -Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols
-It may be true that he doesn't own stock in Linux, but to portray himself as completely ubiased is absurd.
-The most obvious reason of all is because he's an EDITOR for/published by a "Ziff Davis Internet Linux & Ope...
