This just sounds like another Sony Exec. just running his mouth.....I'm betting Sony won't officially confirm plans for PS4 coming in 2010. Well you have to put everything into perspective, so of course it's possible that an update could cause problems for a few 360 owners, but since I and the majority of 360 users have not experienced any problems resulting from an update then its fair to say that those who have had their console "bricked", either have done something wrong(mods) or unfortunately their console was defective in some way. -Thats called bad luck. Great post Dusk and while GEARS is recieving the praise it deserves, I would like to remind people not to "sleep on" R6: Vegas, because I think it is very, very, impressive both graphically and gameplay wise...yeah GEARS still gets the "nod" from me, but IMO Vegas is also a killer app., yeah I know its a multiplatform game but the facing mapping, lip sinc, and online experience adds a great deal to the 360 version or in other words if you were looking to buy one console or...

the GOTY too for all platforms, followed closely by R6:Vegas....although I admit I haven't played Zelda, which has recieved alot of praise too.
I'm definitely impressed by this game, although I will say that some of the video's I've seen make it look good, while the last one I saw was very, very good, but either way I think this game will be kick@ss.
IMO, Motorstorm looks great and I know from personal experience how awesome GEARS looks but I don't think we will be seeing anything from either side with the "graphical fidelity" of movies, for at least another 5 yrs by then they may be close, but I would think defi...

I mean personally I like the style of the Arcade games on Live....they are simple games that I play for 10 or 15 minutes just to pass the time here and there, nothing too serious....although some of them a lots of fun and addictive.

but I would give the edge to GEARS, I mean shooting a guy online is one thing, but "chainsawing" him or finishing him off with a "curb stomp" is just too much fun....the bow with exploding arrows(forgot the name) etc. are hell of fun too.....I mean IMO thats what sets GEARS apart from RB:6, -its great but the weapons aren't as much fun, also the way GEARS lets you "jump in" a co-op campaign and versus matches is an added dimension.
I think you have a point, a bad launch doesn't imply that its a "bad" console or that it will fail, so I'm not going to beat on the PS3 for its launch performance, although I do have to admit it makes me laugh when I think of all the Sonyfanboys (not you) that "bashed" the 360 for so long, because they believed that PS3 would be so much better. I had know idea that the PS3 did not have a upscaling chip, especially since Sony said they would "fix" the 1080i problem....so I'm glad this news was posted, we all should post any informative news -whether its good or bad for any console, because in the end we are all here to read "creditable" news.
