Microsoft didn't follow the most basic rule of faking something:
You have to at least make what you are faking believable and not so easily show to be a fraud.
They were obviously desperate going into E3 with basically nothing to show and overplayed their hand with the MGS: Rising fiasco and now the faked motion controller demos.
You have to wonder what Microsoft was thinking. They had to know people were going to dig out years old EyeToy demos showing o...
"How is changing the name of ps eye to project natal is innovative and new ?"
That is the most shocking failure of Microsoft's conference.
Three and a half years into the console's life and the main thing being hyped from their E3 presentation are:
1. Motion controls - would anyone of believed you three years ago if you told them the big news from Microsoft's 2009 E3 was jumping on the motion control bandwagon?
Glad I did so poorly and put this game on the back burner. The trophy patch will be a nice incentive to jump back in and not have to worry about losing my progress.
The trophies do sound sound insane to someone who is just starting out and having trouble even with the early missions.
"People say home is awful but when u enter home u see its full lol, that doesn't make sense huh."
Lashing out is the normal reaction people have of things that terrify them. By projecting their deepest fears and trying to portray the object of their terror they hope by trying characterize it in a negative way it will go away.
In this case, Xbox fans and Xbox fans in the gaming media have always tried to portray online as some sort of edge the Xbox has. Sony...
You don't have to download some 10 gig installer and spend hours patching.
All you do is go to the freerealms.com website, create an account for free, then it downloads a tiny installer and you are playing in a couple minutes. Everything is streamed in the background as you move around in the world.
The game is incredibly fun, even if it is targeted mostly at kids.
Right now I'm playing FreeRealms and having an absolute blast. Most fun I've had playing a MMORPG in a decade. Yeah, it's targeted at kids but it is so well done and just simply fun it's a refreshing break from the big MMORPGs.
The best part is how you don't have to download some 10 gig installer and then spend hours patching. Everything is streamed and you can be playing in just a few minutes. Incredible job by Sony. Their yea...
The Xbox 360 / Dreamcast parallels are strikingly similar. You can almost directly cut and paste the rationalizations from the hardcore fans of each console:
"The Dreamcast/360 could EASILY handle that PS2/PS3 game!"
"Such and such PC developer said the PS2/PS3 was 'hard to program'!"
"I read <insert PC developer site>.com and they all say the Dreamcast/360 is just as powerful as the PS2/PS3!"
This game is both incredibly fun and incredibly well implemented.
No 10+ gig download just to get started. No hours of patching meaning if you want to try out a new MMORPG you end up having to wait a day or so to just get the files onto your machine and patched up to date.
With FreeRealms you just click on a link and download a tiny file and within a minute or two you are in the game. It streams everything in the background seamlessly.
"I heard from various interviews from SONY first party developers that Cell, in fact, helps out RSX in graphic while it does everything normal CPU supposes to do."
Most of the diehard Xbox fans who were trashing PS3 exclusives in their 'reviews' are long gone from most major gaming sites now. It's really only gamesradar, edge, and random Xbox fan blogs left who still think it is early 2007.
