although I like my ps3 more, i was hopeful MS would show killer instinct or jade empire 2 or a new otogi game or a proper banjo and kazooi game or surprise us with alan wake 2 but they did what nintendo has done with the wii generation - they have clung to what makes them money i.e. halo, gears, forza and kinect and it seems they are going to stick with that and not invest any money or hardcore games outside of that.

i've got a feeling ms will announce or show something to do with a new console. there is no way they can let sony release new hardware even if it is portable and have nintendo show new hardware and then tons of exclusives between nintendo and sony with ms having nothing to show but their johnson in their hands.
even if they show a dozen exclusive kinect games and another halo, it wont simply be enough to take the hype and glory of new hardware.

As some of you guys have said, looks like all future MGS's will be multiplat from here on, but the excuse someone gave above about mag vs cod was stupid at best. There isn't much out there that can compare to cod. homefront vs cod? crisis vs cod? bulletstorm vs cod?

As for us gamers, I would love to see a a modnation or micro machines where it turns any room you look into through AR into a track. I say micro machines since the tracks in the game were designed to look like day to day places i.e. living room, classroom, kitchen etc. This would take it to the next level.
In thta case I hope it is something very similar to Phantasy Star Online. That game in amazingly beautiful and addictive. It remains as one of my all time favorites and I can't believe Sega have not released in on the 360 or Ps3 this gen.

Didnt play the 1st since the shooting and the enemies super accuracy put me off, but since I have been seeing so much of Infamous 2 and the new melee mechanic (which I am totally digging), I can't wait to have the store back up so I can download my copy of infamous 1 and then go out and play through infamous 2.

There are far too many better games out there for gamers than having to consider a 2nd class rehashed game designed by a studio where the talent has left the buidling (ie the original founders of COD and their team).
However, I suppose for the religious followers of COD, this may be the equivilant of the 2nd coming of Christ.
They have lost their way. DMC4 was horrible, the new DMC looks hopeless, Lost Plant games have been average at best, SF4 was cool until you realise a lot of the cool factor came from not having a new sf game in ages as suppose to the game being worth its price.

I wouldn't consider half a game a lot although I would agree they have released more follow up garbage for SF4 than they have for MvsC3 and Monster Hunter.
Maybe the Japanese market is smarter and they wont pay for crap as much as we do over here, who knows!

Am sure any games do this for free. Games like KZ3 and Halo. Unless it is at a reasonable price and it includes map packs, I don't see why anyone in their right senses would pay for it.... but then again, there is a huge community of sheep across all platforms who will do anything I suppose.
Capcom are the masters of milking franchises. If Street Fighter was a cow, it would be nothing but bones by now.
We have had 2 street gighters with a 3rd coming out shortly and the things we are paying is just rediculous. things like alternative costumes and colours should be free.
It was bad enough it lacked stage variations, original player themes and had next to zero game modes (rebranding training mode to challange mode does not count)!
i dont understand the whole cod thing every year. every year there are fps games released which are tons better that the latest iteration of cod. BFBC2, KZ3, halo reach, crisis 2, mag and the list goes on and on yet all the industry wants to do is hype the crap out of COD titles.

Sony probably knows Nintendo will be announcing a a new console and didn't want to play all their cards knowing Ninty will blow it all away with a new console. They will probably announce something before TGS and show a trailer or gameplay of a few of those missing games at TGS...or so I hope lol
