i'm still on the fence with this controller and console combo, but then again the whole thing still isn't finalised so lets see what comes of it.

There are gamers and then there are CODL's (Call of Duty Lovers). The difference is CODL's will buy COD regardless of how shite it is, how overrated it is and will refuse to acknowledge another game let alone a another FPS.

dude, cartoony arcade kart racing is not the same as racing simulator.
They could pull it off, but what we forget is that in those days, Road Rash was one of a kind. Now there lots of racers where we have some form of vehicular combat - Burnout, Motorstorm, Twisted Metal, Mario Kart, Wipeout, FZero and plenty more.
Road Rash may have been one of the original racer brawlers if not the very 1st but it sure as hell is no longer the only one to do this.

The only thing which makes the Wii U stand out is the tablet. Problem is we do not know enough about it and who is going to be willing to spend £400 on a new console when a year or so later it may be outdated due to a ps4 and Xbox720?
What worries me is the cost of the tablet controller along with the rumour that the Wii U may only support ONE tablet per device.

Forza is unbeatable in one aspect - customisation. there is no other racing game on a console I know of which does it as well as Forza series.
What I am really looking forward to is racing simulator which has GT physics, graphics, gameplay content, damage model (dynamic) with Forza's deep customisation feature. This game will rule above all. Now lets just pray either Turn 10 or Polyphony make it happen!
still rather play a Star WArds game based on the original Star Wars trilogy with a PS move or Wii Plus. It's all about the light sabers bro!

I think the problem is this:
1) What console? Nintendo showcased the controller and forgot about the console
2) Most likely, their 8th gen console will be significantly weaker than MS and Sony 8th gen consoles making development for games at that point for devs back to the Wii and ps3 / 360 scenario.
3)Disk capacity? Disk format?
4) HDD? what are the specs?
5) How expensiv will this new controller be considering regualr controllers are £30...

I would agree with you but only to some extent and the reasons are as follows:
1) it is not the consumer's job to make the game look good. It is the game designer's job to give us a good game.
2) the camera not keeping up with the movements may hamper gameplay. That is not the consumers fault but the hardware or those who do not know how to implement proper use of the hardware.
