thehe is one of the main if not the only reason this game exists (if you knew the history of Konami and Kojima). The fans of this game know this which is why most launches of MGS have always had Kojima at the launch signing copies etc.

It may be competition but I wonder how much MS paid for it. Last gen they forked out $50 million for gta dlc. If they do it again at that sort of silly cost, I would question how beneficial it is for Xbox only gamers or if they would rather have a new full game instead.

I would have preferred if this were similar to super smash tv. I have a feeling we will see an abundance of f2p games this generation and it will be the cause of a lot of developers shutting shop due to a ton of f2p mp games which will lack in story and lore, and just won't have enough content to keep people interested. People will just move from one game to the other letting f2p games die a slow death.

My only worry is that as a side scroller it will be a simple game with a short sp campaign. There aren't many 2D games in this style in this day and age that I've come across that had a decent length and badass boss battles.
The potential if it went 3D is huge and the combat can really be amped up as well. I played Shadow of the Beast as a kid, just as I played Altered Beast, another similar 2D game...
It looks nice but a bit of me is disappointed that it is a 2D side scroller. I was hoping it could be similar to GoW or Darksiders or Altered Beast from the PS2.

The best way to do that section is to clear out all the enemies and then go for the turret guy, then come back down and take out the hunter in the open. A lot is to do with finding out what tactic works best.

@darth the difference is Halo was made by a team and the team was famous. MGS although made by a team was all about Kojima similar to ninja gaiden and Itagaki. Sometimes it's the individuals that make the difference and if they leave the game isn't the same nor are the sales and reviews.
GTAV had a good story mode, but everything else sucked hard. How has this game made it as a GOTY contender?!
