It has to do with the activation time of the content and the internal clock.
1. disable internet access.
2. reset clock to appropriate time.
3. Power cycle PS3.
4. Play game and content to see if problem has been resolved.
The reason why is because the servers on PSN went down related to the clock calibration and trophies.
Switch to manual clock set and disable internet.

1. Somewhat accurate but with some serious lag. The motion was less fluid when both legs and arms were moving at the same time with considerable speed.

BTW its not even a PS1 controller. Its actually a PC controller via usb. PS1 controllers had ALOT of knockoffs and the original never came in any color other than gray. If you look at the picture it is black with no analog sticks. Obviously either a PC controller or a Playstation knockoff. But not a PS1 controller.
