YES OMFG! FINALLY!!!!!! I've been hung on Splinter Cell since Double Agent. I HAVE TO KNOW HOW THE STORY CONTINUES! I'm hooked on the David Michaels books and am currently reading "Fallout"
I wish Artic Edge came to PS3 instead and put Pacific Rift on the PSP. I'm a person who likes snow/rain effects moreso everything else.
I hope so, the mentality of N4G makes me wonder about most people here. It would not surprise me if more N4G'ers spent more time here, than actually playing the consoles they profess to love.
Why does it matter? 360 supports 1080p via hardware upscaling, and no doubt that PS3 will support 1080p via software upscaling/native support regardless. The only people who would care about such a thing are console fanboys who look at every pixel with the weight of the world on its digital square shoulders.
Sure I'm for a comparison for a good laugh and a "good to know" basis, but face it. N4G would turn into a warzone within the hour of submission.
Dude, IE8 is not mandatory. I'm still running IE7 and I'm fine. My dad is using IE6 on his XP PC and he's fine. Granted, I'm typing this on Firefox cause Microsoft isn't forcing me to use IE.
It's possible that FMVs will be 1080p native, but the actual gameplay will be 1080p upscaled. You'd have to be a fool to think that the opening cut-scene is rendered in real-time.
I've never heard of a single PS3 game other than Lair or NBA '07 being true 1080p. Most games may claim 1080p, but are aren't truly rendered in 1920x1080, but a sub HD resolution or just upscaled all-together. Either that, or I'm the fool for being cynical. Who knows?
It's exactly what I've been saying. I can's step into a decent GamerZone without someone making a 360vsPS3 jab.
I've been having a LAN-box for some time now and I can safely say that it's much easier to choose and put in your own parts because one has to account for temperature in a LAN box. Also, what would a 1kW PSU do ya anyways? Does one really want to have giant volatile capacitors sitting in a case that's prone to shock? Unless iBuyPower changed over the 2 years, all they'll do is put in high-end components recklessly and watch that Core i7 idle at 55'C. -which isn't good.
LAN box ne...
Oh take a chill pill. It's 1-disagree.
LP is pretty boring if one grinds the whole game with nothing but the AR or the V.S. I feel like Capcon put in large environments to allow for experimentation and that makes LP more fun for me at least.
Also, it's never boring watching a grenade explode.
Indeed, I'm psyched for the co-op gameplay above all.
MT Framework 2.0 at work friend. I always like how that engine can make for some impressive motion blur when it comes to animations.
Why can't I just come to the GamerZone and never see a comment relating to time exclusive or Sony or PS3 or anything of that sort?
Geez. Poor people these days. And especially 360 people baiting the PS3 people. Get enough money and buy them both. Instead of spending all the time hating in the GamerZone, invest that time in a job and make some money to own both.
Yes, but having so many cores on a single die's bound to reach its limit per waffer. And let's not forget how much heat each single core can generate on its own. One can't simply slap a bunch of cores on a die and call that revolutionary because Dual-Cores in 2005 have proven that just because the tech is there doesn't developers will hop on it because having more threads to play around with costs more development time and therefore won't be adopted into mainstream so easily just like DX10. ...
I hope so, AMD/ATI's recently been good about providing the best bang for the buck. I hope it doesn't turn into another HD2000 series fiasco.
So what I'm understanding is that ATI is only tweaking the RV770 to meet DX11 requirements? That kind of sucks. It's like putting a brand-new sticker on an old card and charging brand-new price for a new paint-job.
Is it really revolutionary? It's just Nvidia morphing 2 GPUs, along with modern parallel technology to into something new. The GT300 isn't any more revolutionary than AMD's HD Radeon X2 series. But my qualifier is that Nvidia is putting emphasis on a new data instruction that harnesses multi-threading. Who cares about the CUDA stuff because that's "on the side" business, compared to more pressing gaming issues like Physx support and better scaling for gaming. What's the point of pro...
I've been holding out on upgrading my 8800GT until there's a single-card solution for Crysis@40+ FPS. Then there's DX11 as well. The future looks good for PC gaming if GPU makers don't repeat the mistakes of DX10 =D
1. Lack of developer support
2. Lack of GPU power to truly harness DX10 features effectively. (World in Conflict@60FPS @DX10 w/o SLI comes to mind)
Damn how misleading. It's not a damn antivirus. Just a web filter and security app.
I don't get it. Why not just release the updates for the current PJM on PS3 so that Remote Play will work? What is it with the no-love for remote play? Dual-release PJM Deluxe for both PSP/PS3.
