Sadly I agree. I really do hope DNF makes it out of there regardless.

Why the **** did Take-Two deny 3D-Realms?! If this was close to completing, I would've gotten it! It looks like it's in good shape!

I dunno. I do agree that if piracy is left unchecked, then the developers will all leave and there will be nothing to pirate. I'm no fortune teller there. I would like to see that circumstance happen just so I can observe and see how the situation picks up from there. People thought the music piracy was over when Napster got slammed, but up came a power vacuum and many other file sharing clients took its place.

And then came Bittorent.

EA doesn't control the PC gaming world and they never will. The funny fact is that if one developer can't cater to what the consumers want, then another developer will. You assume that all developers are on the same side here, which they aren't. The moment EA decides on no-more disc production: a power vacuum will form and many other developers will capitalize on what EA left behind and EA will have nothing to show for it other than a declining market share.

We(the market) contro...

I see piracy, especially in PC games as a form of natural selection. The best games will make it through and keep going while everything else disappears. I know this means that small devs will have a very tough time edging out a spot for themselves, but that's just the side-effect of competition and making use of whatever resources possible like advertising and price-matching.

I know I was sad to hear that games like Crysis had a very significant piracy rate, but what can really ...

It sucks that Gas Powered Games and Stardock have a tough road ahead of them, but when you have people like EA that try to screw over the consumer, and the consumer is fighting back: can one really ask favors in what is considered war between consumers trying to get as much as possible with little money and businesses trying to make as much money with little effort?

All that's worth saying is that Gas Powered Games and Stardock better dig in if they hope to stick around the gamin...

There's a difference between food and video games.

With video games, they finish the product and send that over to the publishing factories to get mass-stamped for sales over and over with some tech support.

With food, the chef has to remake the same meal using the same amount of effort and maybe some more each and every time. They have to "tech support" the food and remake it again if the food is bad.

So no, video games and food aren't the sam...

It's not the greatest game in the story department, but it's pretty fun in gameplay. It takes the best from Army of Two, Max Payne and Gears of War to make a pretty fun game. Just turn down the music, put in your own, skip the cut-scenes and it isn't a bad game.

Mind the 5x helicopters.

Your implications that N4G looks down on black people has some truth to it.

If I like a game enough: I'll buy it to show my support. That's all there is to it. Doesn't get any simpler than that.

Fine Fine. Piece of "Silicon". Let's hope not. I would love to score a card that can run Crysis 50FPS+ on one card that's about $200. That would be a dream.

Let's hope it's not an overpriced piece of plastic.

I notice that you're new here. Take my advice: just let it go. It's no personal persecution at work here, but trying to persuade brick walls isn't very practical. You'll get lost in the fanboy-mentality of the GamerZone.

This GamerZone went to hell in a handbasket so quickly.

I dunno. 16-20GB for basic Win7 plus 15GB for XPM for some others. So out of 64GB (which is about 62.5GB): you'd have about 31GB to play around with. I'd definitely would want more space to toy around with.

OCZ Cores come to mind. And MLC-based SSDs are becoming more and more efficient. Almost as efficient as Intel X25-Ms but with more space. However more pricey too. :( for 250GB.

I might just have to get a small 64GB SSD and combine that with the 250GB HDD to get th...

Obviously cmrbe was defending Sony's decision. However I don't believe in "an eye for an eye" because one can never gauge exactly what is quantifiable as "an eye".

Hm, I might have to upgrade my HDD from 250GB...I hope SSD prices drop enough so I can justify getting that.
