The SDF takes this stuff wa-y too seriously. My problem is that it makes me look bad too cause I got a PS3 and could not care more for such simple mistakes and I get lumped into the rest of the radical fanboys that nerd-rage over one small clip.

The fact that the only proof is a "still-image" renders this article worthless because any half-pint can photoshop that work, thus ridding of all credibility.

Not when the screen is jaggy all over the place. Sorry, but people like me with big HDTVs notice these things and I know I didn't pay $1200+ to look at such a ****ty aliased screen. I don't mind the Image Quality at all, but those jaggies get quite annoying that one could mistake SD having the better picture.

CE2 was built with future tech in mind. Of course current-tech is going to crumble before CE2. I expect DX11-based cards to really make CE2 fly. Wishful thinking on my part.

Hmm, the comments in the video are definitely warranted, but don't forget everyone that CE3 is not better than CE2. CE3 is meant to emulate CE2 as much as possible in a console environment. There are some obvious deficiencies due to console-like environment such as the edge-aliasing that's very prominent in the video and the unstable frames at first which I'd blame RAM for. However I believe these things can be hammered out with time.

I think having any console shoved up your ass is fine because that's console lovin. But in GWAVE's case, it was shoved up too far that he couldn't read clearly.
I'm a cheapass, so the lower the price, the better. I can't start discriminating XBLA games because then I would've made a fallacious error somewhere in reasoning like "better games cost more", or "give some money to the devs for their work". I'm just a straight up cheap ass and I want it my way. Great games for dirt cheap.

All I remember in a nutshell about SC during it's early days was "MGS clone" and constant disrespect for SC because of that single prejudice. That's why I didn't particularly see the early SC games as gripping on gameplay alone from the outside perspective, despite the fact I love both franchises just as much. However when CT came, that changed everything about how people saw SC and I guess that feeling stuck with people.

You probably think that because you never read the books or know about Tom Clancy's past novels and don't have that much of an appreciation for the story. I respect that because most gamers won't even read the Halo novels (I know I didn't). I'm mainly interested in SC because of the story because I like Tom Clancy novels (or David Michaels for lack of) and see a satire in the SC world and our own world. Remember Shetland's Chaos Theory?

Story-wise, the last-gen PS2-Xbox version is better for Double Agent. The current-gen version has good gameplay but lacks in the story department.
I have to disagree. The direction Splinter Cell took with a renegade Fisher is more appealing storyline wise. Although I love CT as much as DA, I felt it was appropriate to strip Sam of his gear to really place emphasis on the situation that he's a fugitive from the NSA and that he's not going to be under the same "dark level" circumstances that make Splinter Cells so comfortable. I disagree, easiest thing you can do is install a DVD Drive. Almost Zero Guesswork. With RAM, you still have to figure out what type of RAM stick it us, the DDR speed that is most appropriate for the PC, Timings, Latency from dual-modules, Voltage, EEC vs. non-EEC. With a DVD Drive. You plug it in, it works. The only thought is which DVD Drive to get, that's all.
