You think so? I think some of the games look and play pretty impressively for games on a DVD9. I was pleasantly surprised by the length quality of games like Gears of War 2 (except the last boss fight).

I can believe that PC games preferably use 3 cores because they keep the 4th for GP purposes like background apps and such. But when I boot up World in Conflict, I forget the previous stated. That and the fact that not all PC games stress the 3 cores 100%, so there's always idle-p...

IT's not so much about Cell, but what Cell represents that we, as gamers, want in our games for the future. The answer being "true multi-threaded" apps.

It's the next evolution of computing and needs to happen sooner than later. We've been at this for 5 years and barely made progress! Not enough support from the industry yet. I was real happy with Cell because it represented the push that the industry needs. But the rumor of PS4 going with a another CPU worries me, but ...

LOL! But back on topic. She's looks believable to me, especially because she's not asian. The best one I've seen so far.

Hm, not bad! Give her the Steel Rod and we're set.

I'm paying to play a game, I'm not paying to look at advertisements. It's a slippery slope.

First, it's subtle hints like a character sporting a Sony Ericsson. Then it's a poster that a character conveniently "passes by" on a locked path. Then it's blatantly in your face like a commercial break. But there's something far worse than looking at a coke bottle.

Political ads.

I don't consider a wider FOV like cheating. The other guy's got better hardware than you. You can either compensate for it, or get the same hardware the other guy does.

If this was consoles, I can see how this is morally wrong like hexediting your HDD. But PCs always had this kind of variety for a long time. It's nothing new. I can deal with wide-screen gaming, but no so much wall-hackers.

Crysis is a personal example for me.

I downloaded it hoping to bench my rig. After playing it a bunch, I realized how good this game is and how much effort went into it. When the Maximum Edition came out. I bought it within the day. I can proudly say that I support Crytek and all they do for our PC industry.

As for those. I'm sure many people want to support a dev, but there's always that small little detail that's preventing them from putting their foot forward. My ...

@James

There is a simple answer to combat piracy. "Just make good games."

If a developer makes a good game that pleases the audience and is priced right. People will buy it. The sales will reflect that. The losses from piracy is heavily outweighed by everyone who bought it. MW2 is a shining example of that.

Instead of developers fighting piracy, appease the pirates instead and guilt-trip them into buying your games because your game is so awes...

Yup, that's usually the trend I've been seeing for the last generation and the one before. Nvidia is usually performance king and most likely beats the AMD/ATI Cards. However what keeps AMD in business both CPU/GPU wise is that they know how to offer a the bang-for-buck pricing. And that is why competition is so wonderful. I wouldn't be surprised if Nvidia pulled another "8800GT" on AMD with a 2nd gen card that blows away everything but the top-tier cards at a wonderful price. Then ...

I'm with dchalfont.

UC2 looks very good and is probably the best-looking console game on the market right now. But UC2 is anything, but photorealistic.

Dude, 40k?!

Good God. I'm solely a co-op player, so 40k means alot.

From the looks of it. It's "guilty until proven innocent" from MS's standpoint.

I wouldn't exactly use DiRT 2 to justify my DX11 card purchase. Let's wait for more games to support it fully and not just a simple port job.

I still play BF2142, and this is good news to anyone who is just getting in or hasn't played since 2006. Quite a stellar game. Will hold anyone over until BF:BC2 comes out.

If your game is good and priced well, people will recognize that and the sales will reflect that. Regardless of piracy.

Well, I got Forza 3 because I like Forza 2. The reason I wrote that Forza 3 would hold me over is because of how Forza 3 and GT5 are entirely different sim-experiences, so if there's any excuse to get both of them: it would be this. I didn't mean to imply any disregard for Forza 3 as a filler-game.

I consider it getting your racing-sim fix.

Definitely. If you need a sim-racer to hold you over until GT5. Forza 3 delivers and much more. I can spend hours alone in the paint editor and Forza 3 appeases racing fans of all levels: from casual to the hardcore.

Honda Fit FTW!
