I'll still probably be buying one again soon. You can't deny that Microsoft's games are pretty good. Enough for me to be taking chances with documented-faulty hardware.
The difference between Sony and Microsoft is that Sony was pushing new technology at the same time. The EE+GS, and DVD Format. Name one thing in the Xbox 360 that's even remotely new prior to its predecessors. Microsoft totally rushed their system out. Sony didn't.

Most of those achievements have something to do with the Legendary Map Pack. Talk about "incentive" to drive up Map Pack Sales. Unfortunately I know a handful of achievement whores that'll buy the Map Pack just for the achievement points.

You know, it doesn't take much to play this game. A little research into budget gaming PCs ought to do you more justice.
Good points all around. My only wish is that I don't have to be connected to PSN just to play a game. That bummed me out with GT5:P when I took it over a friend's house to get some racing done just to be greeted by that screen.
Don't get me wrong, I'm against cheating online, cheating for achievements/trophies, and cheating to be a jerk.
But I love cheating just to have fun. (ya know?) I would love to cheat in GTAIV with infinite life and endless ammo for my RPG for the ultimate carnage.
shouldn't it be the other way around? PSN is better for devs, Xbox Live offers a better experience for consumers?

same here.
I like the fast pace action of R:FoM, keeps me on my seat, backed up by a unique way to play. However the artificial controls made me feel like I was playing a game, rather than being in the game. Halo 3 had a much smoother control set and felt more comfortable.
That's pretty harsh, don't you think? Parents have problems too...doesn't excuse this story, but damn...
Just because you eject the magazine, doesn't mean the bullet you've already loaded into the chamber is suddenly empty. MGS4 taught me that!
