Though it's all speculation, I've read that EA forced DICE to release it before Ghosts to get their product out there, regardless of the state even though DICE had requested some more time as the game wasn't ready.
Let this be a lesson to both EA and DICE to never rush the release of a game when the current state of the game is in piss poor shape. I would have preferred the game be delayed a few months than to be able to barely enjoy the game when it is out and have to deal with all these issues.
So my first game after this patch..the game crashed without a reason, just abruptly closed. This shit is getting very annoying.

It will most definitely use Frostbite as the engine. EA is pushing for quite a few games to be developed under Frostbite as well.

It isn't as strong as say the .44 or Rex. Close range, I'd prefer the 1911 since it has a faster rate of fire.

Yeah pretty much. Guess the dev's really love the M1911 lol. They even made an achievement/trophy for when you get 45 kills with it.

It's still very possible for previous characters to show up in the game though.
When the developer has to stop all production of other titles and DLC, then the masses are having issues with the game and it needs to be addressed ASAP.
In terms of shooter, BF is much better. Though it is having numerous problems, it's much better than Ghosts. When the game is working properly, it's a great experience.
True, though EA LA is working on the DLC, well up until they got pulled to help with the game getting patched lol.
qu1ckset - lol I hear ya. I didn't know much either until I went on the website to redeem them and see all the details behind them. I'd say keep the 200% xp boost if you have them until another double xp weekend so you get the absolute most out of it.
Also, you can't double up on your xp boost, so if you have like 11 25% boost, you can only use one for that one hour and then reapply a new one after the one hour is used up.

You underestimate Americans. If we can get something for free, we will spend as much money or more to get it.
RedDevils - in BF3, they included the patches amongst the expansion packs so they averages about 4-8GB of storage. They never released patches individually. So by the end of it all, the patches+dlc were around 30GB.
I didn't even notice the update had downloaded, I was playing BF4 and got off for a bit, found out there was an update on his blog and did the full shut down and when I went to go play again it was done. UI is much smoother now. Just waiting on that BF4 patch to see if that helps my disconnects.
