They (sony)might just be stocking up for holiday sales, they's hate to run out during the holiday season. Optimistic thinking would be that they've been unexpectedly selling faster.

Vagrant Story was a great game but I don't think it sold well in the US.
It was one of the first games I downloaded and played on my psp when the ps1 games became playable in the psp hacking scene. That and Castlevania SOTN

This is just like all those PC games that are extremely similar to well known games. It hasn't been a problem for years so I guess there's no point in complaining about it now just because the same indie developers are now trying to get them on the xbla.

You don't? Maybe you should take the foggy goggles off then. This is a JRPG and that makes all the difference in the world. Your argument would hold some ground if it were MGS4 coming to the 360 (day and date) but this is FFXIII.
When the PS3 version does sale MUCH more people will attribute that to the japanese sales and exclusivity there, which is fine, but i think the NPD numbers will favor the PS3 version too. I bought my PS3 for games like this, not killzone.

People don't buy tv and stereo system on a whim just because they're there. I don't know where you got that logic but no, a guy going into bestbuy for a cheap cd might also buy something like, ANOTHER cd, or a movie or a game but not a television.

A much more alluring drop would have been
Drop the arcade
Lower the Pro to $200 or even $250
Lower the Elite to $300-$350
^This would be substantial. And the Pro was their best selling model, the Elite will take it's place but this won't sell MORE units. Dropping the price of the Pro or Arcade would sell MORE units.
I understand why they chose to dropped the Pro though, it was too similar to the Elite and they didn't want 4 SKUs on the market...
