That's what we all want in this remake. I want to be ABLE to play the game as PS1 games that weren't 2d don't standt the test of time so well. I can play 2d side scrollers from any generation but fully rendered/3 dimensional games are another story.
I just want to be able to play it, so touch the graphics (use FF13 graphics) and touch nothing else and millions will show their appreciation.
M$ seems to be going all out with this bundle. Two critically acclaimed, console exclusives, 120Gb HDD, all at the same price as a Slim? They're shovin this thing down consumer throats with a deal like that.
The fanboy in me can't help but think of this sale as desperate, but at the same time I really can't think of a reason why they'd do this other feeling threatened into it. "Spring sale"? Do they do this every year?
This is ridiculous to me as all M$ nee...
I pretty much want Home to be a virtual myspace (though I personally don't use myspace)
I also want all the features they promised initially but I don't think it's possible now.
Metacritic chooses what sites get to be in their average. They even remove some reviews if they're below a press average by too much.
There was actually a 7.5 review score for GOW3 that got removed a day or so after I saw it on the site. They completely dropped it because it was at the bottom and I supposed the review wasn't good enough or something.
Why they would leave G4TV off is a mystery to me and the only possible reason I could think of is them deciding G4TV wasn...
Even at E3 they said that only two motion controllers could be used at one time so it having a wireless/bluetooth, analogue control makes sense as the PS3 can have 4 bluetooth controllers connected at once.
That's... not good.
It ends up costing more than a console. Unless games are in the $10 and below range this service isn't worth paying for.
The whole point is being able to play maxed out (PC) games without having to spend all the money associated with having a high end pc. At $180 a year you could spend that money on updating a pc throughout the year.
$180 per year will kill this service. Should be like $100 or so for the box and $50 a year.
Final Fantasy is a HUGE franchise and this is a "core" title in the series. I hope VGC is off by a lot because this looks pitiful to me.
Day 1, in americas (north and south?) this is extremely disappointing. I was expecting at least 2 million day 1. The other games in the series average around 7-10 million life time and this 450k day 1 looks like FF13 won't reach anywhere near those numbers.
Just think, 5 million SHIPPED, 450k sold? SE have got to be disappointed...
Does anyone else think that a japan release of FF13 on 360 would've done better?
I mean, it's obvious that Japan likes FF more as half the PS3s install base bought it so I don't think it would be hard to imagine half of the 360s install base in japan buying FF13 for their system (if they don't have a PS3). And that number would be somewhere around 500k on day one compared to this lousy 160k.
The only thought I have against this theory is that, because Japan is a more...
It's already gorgeous, can't imagine what it would look like coming out of the screen as well...
I was reading the small article and was like, "Wait, did it say Tuesday?". Then came back here and sure enough someone was nice enough to post a link

People on the site actually believe they look the same
Nothing beats having a game at home on your own tv when i comes to comparisons. The only time these two versions look the same is in SD AND on a small screen (at or under 22 inches).
There is a world of difference on my 47in HDTV though and that's just in video.
You know what I like most about Adam Sessler, he actually talks to us with his face showing. That ability to look right in someones eyes and tell they actually mean what they're saying, that their enthusiasm is real and they're not being swayed by some advertising pay-off or deep-rooted vendetta for or against a game/idea/thing.
Plus he gets right in your face with a big FU if people try and call him out, he's really easy to relate to.
He's a real gamer and it show...
LMAO!

Best pun of the week!
Why did this game takes so long to release? If there's subtitles and no english audio then there was hardly any localization. You can not tell me it took them a full year to decide if 1. americans wanted this game and 2. take out some whore house.
Ridiculous.
This review, the review itself, was AWESOME! Did you guys watch the video that was in there too? There were a few boss battle spoilers but for the most part it was a great video review and everything in it and the written review were things I have been expecting of GOW3 reviews.
This is BY FAR my favorite review of the day.
Strange enough as it may be, I think this review (at an 8/10) is still FAR better than the 9.2 it received from NZGamer.
From looking at their breakdown the only thing I would try an argue against (without ever playing the game mind you) would be the score in the sound department. Other than that how can you argue against opinion? They gave the graphics a 10, as I believe every site/mag should, and the rest is subjective/opinionated. Seriously, marking down a score because you re...
Hmm... I wonder what games this reviewer has given a 10 in graphics to. It's ridiculous to think of 9.5 as too low but at the same time when you're rating the graphics of a game that raises the bar in the graphics department it's a little off-putting.
I can easily accept that the GOW games aren't everyones cup of tea but how can you argue against graphical fidelity? I wish I could read why the graphics *weren't* perfect.

A LOADED gun, left within the reach of a 3 year old?
Now that's great parenting...
Is Alan made of stone or something? Maybe the whole game actually is fought in a dream world as opposed to simply being at night.
We've seen other vids where a piece of a silo smacks him and he brushes it of and we've seen his attacker hack at his shoulders with an axe but this was kinda ridiculous. He really stood up to a tracker and took little to no damage. I just don't get it.
Other than that, another video showing off the beautiful lighting effect of this game.
It should "look better", it is in HD now after all.
I wonder if it's really exclusive to 360, there's a lot of True Crime fans from the PS2 days that might only have a PS3. (I liked the games but was never a fan and preferred GTA)
