Before one of the most recent updates digital movies/videos use to keep playing in the background when the xmb was brought up. This tells me that videos as dynamic themes is already possible. I wish sony would implement that.

they just didn't want to take any risk during the "slow season". They're afraid of over producing and being stuck with a rather large bill as apposed to under-stocking and not only having a lower risk but creating a "high-demand" staple AS WELL.
I personally think, whatever their plan may be is dumb. FF13 and GOW3 are out right now, this is the time Sony should be rolling with the momentum of two huge titles yet they're playing it safe or even worse unprepared...
A review for GOW3 came out from this site like a week or two ago, did the review it a second time of something after metacritic posted and then dropped their older score? It was something like 7.75 i think.

I'm not a fan of dlc prices so i'd rather get a new game with tons of songs that i liked as apposed to paying for track packs.
I'm not into green day but i would mind if they released a Rockband with a 2000 or 2010 hit list theme. I want recent/modern music and I don't wanna pay $2 for each song or $10 for 6 songs.
If it cost too much in relation to length then rent the game. I'm not into renting and usually don't suggest it but this is GOW3, play it by any (legal) means necessary so rent, borrow, by and trade in (if you still feel that way). There's plenty of ways to get around your problem.
BTW, not having played the first two shouldn't stop you either, the story back tracks and is self-explanatory. Worst case scenario you could look up ALL the cgi/story scenes from the first two games on...

WKCs is truely the most under rated game to come out in recent years. The temporary/free extra content is great and really keeping me interested and the community and town creation is awesome.
Over 200 hours spent already and this game has been the best $60 spent since Uncharted 2 (which I also got a ton of hours out of).
Part 2 can't come soon enough, but at the same time im not sure when I'll be ready to move on. GR9 btw
