My thoughts exactly.
I read the first story and thought; "Ha, that's pretty funny."
Nothing else, no further explanation is necessary.
This is such a non-issue, similar to Major Nelson telling people that Conan edited the scene of his interview to make it funnier. Obviously! We don't need PR trying fix every little thing to the point where what becomes more obvious is their lack of a sense of humor.
I haven't seen a Toonami review in a loooooong time, this was awesome.
You're critiquing the game based on your distaste for the art style. All the characters are over embellished, they're basically caricatures of what those classes or monsters look like in other fantasy movies, books or games. The game itself is not satire, just the art style. The artist himself said he wanted them to be intentionally over exaggerated.
THAT INCLUDES THE ELF
If you think that character isn't exaggerated then you aren't even looki...
That sounds pretty cool
Just 5 weeks away, I've been waiting forever for this game.
Definitely getting the PS3 version, local Co-op is always good to have. Actually getting the digital version from the PS Store,
I don't have space for things like art books etc
I'm hoping that whenever Gaikai launches it's services for the Vita that the digital titles I've purchased will be playable via streaming. PS3 games streamed to the Vita.
It's meant to be satire, over embellishment of ALL character forms (Male, female and monster) in a cliched way.
I guess you'd need more than an art class to understand that though. It's intentionally ridiculous making fun of the cliches in other fantasy story settings.
I hope so, I know their parent company filed for an equivalent of bankruptcy but are they necessarily even up for sale?
You could just tile or or something.

The point isn't that a PC can push the specs, the point is that no game released on PC thus far looks anywhere near as good as this tech demo.
I mean what's the hold up? PCs have been as strong as (stronger than) the PS4 is about to be for a few years already.
That stuff is like rubber sweat, it seeps from the rubber itself, not from the greasy fingers that touched it. It only really shows up when you don't use the controller for a long time.
This isn't a game announcement, it's the specs of a tech demo.
Their plan is to finish optimizing the engine and use the tech to create a game.
This is just a tech demo, like "Kara", showcasing what they'll be attempting to in their next game. They've made tech demos before each game they've made and in every instance the game has surpassed the tech demo.
I'm really looking forward to what they do.
I'm surprised they don't sell game engines.
There's not much going on in the scene that would eat up resources and it's a small, confined space.
There' nothing impossible about it.
Just because it's new doesn't mean it's fake.
Quantic Dream has a track record that easily supports them as leaders in visual fidelity.
What is there to doubt?
To compare what?
It's already better than anything seen on PC.
You're curious about how much better it could look if higher end hardware is used as a source when it's already on top of anything seen in PC or console games to date. Only things comparable are the Uncanny Valley tech demo and Capcoms Deep Down (working title).
No idea, so many to choose from and so little money :(
I would've just left it on, 4.45 was pulled for it causing this problem before I had a chance to download it, how long ago was the release? A week, maybe a little more? I would've left it on for all those days.
BTW, when the message pops up saying to scan for corruption you can just press circle and it'll skip the scan. Scanning is optional. When my system freezes it always pops up because "the system was shut down improperly" but I just hit circle and ...
I like how the PS4 is slimmer than the Xbox One and still doesn't have a power brick.
It's pretty clear that you don't even know what CGI is.
You keep referring the The Dark Sorcerer as CGI when that is IMPOSSIBLE. CGI is a computer generated VIDEO, like a Pixar movie or those extra pretty videos that progress the storyline in most Final Fantasy games.
You CANNOT adjust the camera angle, lighting effects, character animations or anything else in a video.
Just because no PC devs have bothered to try something of such hi...
You know what is going to be amazing is when the PS4 comes out and someone convinces QD to release the tech demo to the public so we can mess about with it.
They're already going to release it for some people to play around with. http://n4g.com/news/1282858...
Have you played Dungeon Defenders?
I really like it and it has RPG elements. It's the only tower defense game I've ever been able to get into and enjoy. How is Defense Grid in comparison to it?
It's pretty messed up that this game is getting downplayed simply because people were looking forward to the mentioned titles. It's interesting seeing the quote again though as it mentions the games but does not specifically mention when Halo 3 or Assassins Cree...
